I have made a new friends recently. His name is Jackson, and he is from the America. How did we get to know each other? You may think we are pen-friends, and you are wrong. We actually have never written to each other before we met. Here is the story. A week before, there was a summer camp in our school. Some American students came to join in us. I was very good on English, especially spoken English, so I was chosen to take part this camp. Jackson was very interesting in Peking Opera, and I liked it, too. When I told Jackson that, he felt very excitedly. We talked a lot about Peking Opera. He said he had a very good time and hoped he would come again quite soon.

Last week, I met a stranger who seemed to be losing. I offer to guide him to a place he wanted to go to, but to my surprise, he refused my offer. I asked him why not. He told me that he was afraid I would ask him money if I helped him in this way. Then I fell into deeply thoughts: Was it money which came between us? I agree that money is become more and more important in our society, and it should not be everything. We should try my best to help others and trust each other. If everyone does this, our society will be better and better.

Did you enjoy yourself yesterday? I suppose you did. But I’d like to tell you how a bad day I had yesterday. Nothing just went wrong. The water we drink and use was running short. We all have to learn what to stop wasting water. One of the step that we should take is to find ways of reusing it. Today in the most large cities, fresh water is used only once and then it runs in waste system. But that is possible to pipe the used water to a purifying factory, there the used water can be treated with chemical materials by the workers so that it can reused. But even if every large city purified and reused it’s water, we still would have enough water.
