“Saving the Earth” Conference holding in Dalian came to end last Saturday. The five-days conference was attended by experts and scientists from more than fifty countries. The subject discussed at the meeting including: pollution, population and wildlife protection. Three main speakers spoke on different subjects. The experts and scientists sharedwitheach other’s ideas.

I first met Li Ming at a friend birthday party five years ago. Then I invited Li Ming over in my place. We listen to my CDs together and soon became best friends. As the high school student, I like to talk with foreigners to practise my oral English but learn more about other cultures. There were two foreign teachers in our school in this term. On Monday morning, I was on my way to school when suddenly as I saw a boy knocked down
by the car. In a hurry, I ran over and found the boy was serious hurt with much blood on his face.
Immediately, I call an ambulance and the boy was taken to the nearest hospital. For my relief, the
boy was fine and would recover in a few day. I went away without leaving his name. I was late for
class, and I felt happy for what I had done. As a proverb says, “Help others is the source of happiness.”
I feel our duty to make the world a better place to live in.
