I first met Li Ming at a friend birthday party five years ago. Then I invited Li Ming over in my place. We listen to my CDs together and soon become best friends. Three years ago, Li Ming’s parents invited I to spend two wonderful week in Qingdao with them during the summer holiday. Li Ming and I loved walking along the beautifully beaches there. Last year I was ill but had to stay in hospital for a week. Li Ming came see me every day. Then his father has changed jobs and they moved to another city. Since then we haven’t see each other much. Last Sunday I saw a worst storm in years. It came sudden and went on for over three hours. After lunch, I went into my room to have a rest. The air was hot，but all was quiet. Then a strong wind started to blow into my room. Pieces of paper on my desk flew high into the air and some flew out the open window. As I ran out to catch it, big drop of rain began to fall. When I come back into my house, it was raining more harder and harder. Then I heard a loud crashing sound from the back of the house. When I ran out of my room to find out that had happened，a big tree had fallen down and broke the top of the backroom.

When I first learned to write in English, I run into many difficulties．The main problem was in that I always thought in Chinese but tried to translate everything into Chinese．My teacher advised me to keep diaries．I followed her advices．Happily it worked．Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself on paper as I was learning to express me in simple English. One day I wrote a short story and showed to my teacher．She liked it very much that she read it to the class．Everyone said the story was the good one, I was great encouraged by their words．

During the summer holidays in this year, I thought I should do something meaningful instead of staying at home. So I got a job at the KFC fast food restaurant and working there as a cleaner. I worked seven hour a day for three weeks.
The job was hard and bored and seemed endless, which made me tired that I nearly gave it up half way. After all, I stuck to it with determination.
Every day I started off from work early in the morning and got home later in the evening. Finally I finished the job until the new term began.
Now, I understand that labor means. I think it is really a successful experience.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after
school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of
every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am
allowed to do that, I'll unable to control myself and forget all about my
study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can't accept her
ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day's hard
works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home
and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn't be forbidden to watch TV.

At first I was not quite willing to sit down and watched the 90-minute football match. Usually I just checked the results because I thought that was dull to watch a game in which players kicked a ball each other. Therefore, my father loves football. During the World Cup in 2002, my dad stays up late just to watch his favorite sport. Seen his strong interest in this game of 22 man running after a ball, I decided to sit down to watch the game. I found the game excited, and my dad explained for the rules. We shared our joy. Football is not too badly as long as I watch it with my dad!
