Last Saturday, I wanted very much to see a film together with my brother after supper. On my way to the cinema, we happen to meet an American named Peter, who had lost his way, looked worried. When he told us that he wasn't able to find the hotel, we decided take him there. When we went to the hotel, we told of Peter the great changes that had taken place in our country in the past few year, and he told us a lot of things about the youths in the U.S.A.
　 Although my brother and I missed a interesting film, we felt very happily, for we had not only helped Peter out of trouble and also learnt something by him.

Great changes have been taken place in my village. Ten years ago, the small and low houses, which lie on the north of a lake, produced much waste. As the result, the lake was serious polluted. To the west was a sandy field, that was the source of dust. Better still, a brickyard on the southwest side of the lake used up a great deal good soil. Now the poor house have been replaced by green trees and the brickyard by tall buildings. The sandy field that the villagers used to ploughing has been covered with fruit trees. On the lake the villagers often spend his spare time boating and fishing.

One day, there was a blind man sat on the steps of a building with a sign by his feet that read: "I am blind, please help." The kind and creative artist was walking by the blind man and stopped to observing that the man only had a few coins in his hat. He put a few of his own coins in the hat, and with stopping to ask for permission, took the sign, turned it around, and wrote a new message. He had then placed the sign by the feet of the blind man, and left. Late that afternoon the artist returned by the blind man and noticed that his hat was almost complete full of bills and coins. The blind man didn't know that his new sign read as this: "It's spring now, but I can't see it.

I receive your E-mail just now. Don’t worry about me. I’m getting on well with my research work in the lab. But to my greatly surprise you say you will give up learn English. There are different train ticket for people to choose from when traveled by train. They may want to buy a single ticket and a return ticket. A single ticket allows them enjoy more freedom at their destination while a return not only is cheaper but also save them the trouble of buying the ticket when they decide to return. Some people prefer hard seats to soft one. Young people like to have hard seats because enjoy the company of other passengers is what they need during a journey. Businessmen would not like to have soft seats. They want to have a good rest. When they get off the train, they were still energetic and can rapid go on to do their jobs.
