Jack Green was the football coach at an American college. He was appointed to find good players, and they weren’t smart enough to be accepted.
One day, the coach has brought an excellent player to the director of the college and suggested the student allowed to enter without an examination. “Well,” the director said after thinking for a while, “I’d better ask you a few questions first.” Then the student was called for and asked some easier questions, but he didn’t know any of the answers. At last the director said, “Well, what is thirty – four minus two?” It was quite a long time when the student answered, “Thirty – three.” The director threw up his hands and looked at the coach disappointed, but the coach said, “Oh, please let him in, sir! He was only wrong by two comparing with all the others.”

One day I was in the back yard teaching my little nephew how to play football. He said that play football was something easier. His words immediately bring back memories of my childhood. As a little boy, I told my uncle I wanted to become football star like him. However, he taught me how to kick the ball. After some practice, I told him it was hardly for me to kick the ball the way he kicked them. He talked to me about not giving up on how I really wanted to do. Thank to his guidance and encouragement, and I’ve become a football star in my school.

Li Hua and Wang Hai are students of Senior Three. They all work hard but have different learning methods. Li Hua listens to her teachers attentive and tries to catch everything the teachers say. She spends more time doing her homework. It is certain what she can go to bed earlier and always keeps energetic in the day.
However, Wang Hai had a different way of learning. He likes to stay up late at the night, so he often feels sleepy in class. Thus, he misses lots of key point and it usually spends him more time to finish his homework, that makes it difficult for him to concentrate what he is doing. I prefer Li Hua's learning method.

Taiwan has an area of about 3600 square kilometers and the population of over 20,000,000. The scenery is such beautiful and the climate is so pleasant what travelers come in a continuous stream for a visit from all over the world, I am sure you will have a lot fun there.

Every morning John goes to work by trains. He always buys a piece of newspaper, it helps to make the time pass more quickly. One Thursday morning, he turns to the sports page. Do you know when the ancient Olympic Games started? It is said that they start in 776 BC. Ever since then thousands of compete from all over the world have taken a part in them every four years for gold medals. Perhaps you have already known the five rings on the Olympic flag stand by the five continents.
Which is known to all , it is a great responsible for Beijing to be chosen to host the Olympic Games. To make the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games successful, a special village was built for the athletes to live. Nowadays, many Chinese people are fond of take exercise in order to keep fit and even more athletes are trying our best to reach the agreeing standard.
