Family is a most important part in my father’s life. He usually helps my mother do housework if he has any free time. Although he is a busy businessman, but he spends a lot of his free time hang out with my brother and me. He always supports my education. He sent me to the best schools and allow me to study abroad when I was 18. And he always listens to my idea even though they are stupid sometime. My father has a warm heart, whom is famous in our community. Most of my neighbors know my father because his kindness. Every time he sees the homeless in the street, he stops to give him some money. At weekends, he provides free rides for old people of our community.

When I was at middle school, I have a nice classmate, which was the first foreigner I had ever met. She was friendly and very pretty. She was good in three languages, so she was born in China. It was interesting that her father was a Frenchman while her mother came from England. All of them were teaching at a university at that time. She was crazy about collect stamps, listening to pop music, as well as playing the football. Her dream was to be a engineer, so she usually studied harder to achieve it. Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling Web language. Some people even speak Chinese mixed with English letters. The other day our class had a discussion about if we should welcome the Web language.
Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. They argue that it does no good helping people communicate, nor is it useful for learning English. Besides, it’ll make Chinese more standard and pure, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 60% of our class is fond of it. They think it is simple，convenience and helpful in expressing them. What’s more, it may make the language more interesting.
Personally, it’s not good habit to use the Web language. It may be popular, but you may also make yourself be misunderstood.

I am a middle school student. I’m doing well in my studies, and ready to help another. In the school I like to talk with my classmates. However, I have a problem that troubled me all the time. It is the relationship between my desk-mate and mine.
My desk-mate is a hardworking student, he keeps the school rules good. However, he is a person of a few words. What’s more, he loses his temper easily. I don’t know to communicate with him. Maybe it’s why we have seldom sat down and changed our feelings and thoughts. I hope we can know each other better. I do hope we’ll be close. What can I do?
