Most parents in China hope his single children will have a happy future, so they are very strict
in their children. So do teachers! Many children are given so much homework that they had
hardly any spare time have sports. The children are forbidden to do nothing but study. No

of news in newspapers or magazines. Shouldn’t we draw lesson from those events? Now the

When I was ten years old, I went to Yangzhou with two American．I became their guide．First, we went to the Shouxi River．They wanted to look around the river by the boat．After buy the tickets, we got into the boat．We went around seeing the beautiful sight．After that, we went shopping．The sellers couldn't spoke English．Though it was very harder, I tried my best listen to their words carefully and translate the sentences．They bought some little things with their help．Next, we went to a small zoo but took some pictures．When we felt hunger, we went out and had lunch．After lunch, we visited some old house and learned more about Chinese history．

June 12, Sunday
Today is Sunday. I didn’t get up early as usually. In the morning after I finished my homework, I do some washing. Then I telephoned one of my classmate and invited him to see a film. And unfortunately, when we got to the cinema at 3:00pm, we found all the tickets had been sold out. Then we went back school and played the football. After this, when we are about to go home, we saw our English teacher, Mr. Wang, coming into the school gate. He told us we had made great progress on English this term. He also suggested that we would read more and write more. We promised him that we would take her advice.

Dear Mrs. Winthorp,
So my first week at college is over! No lectures this morning, so I think I’d email you and let you know what things are going.
I’m glad to say that anything has worked out fine in the dorm. I remember asking for a room as far away from the lifts as possible and they find me a comfortable one on second floor. There are two girls from my course here and I plan to make friends with them so we can help each other on the course work. Everyone else seems very nice and warmly here.
Well, I had better to stop now. I’m going to attend mine first lesson this afternoon, for I’ve got some preparations to make. Keep in touch.

Generally, we prefer to do things the way we considered to be the best．However, it is
important to listen to those who love us and want to give us an advice when we have serious
problems in our lives．Parents have gained some life experiences and they know what to
act in different situations．That's why we should ask them for help first when they have
problems．Therefore, there are moments when we avoid them and don't want to follow
them．With time passed, my brother as well as I have realized that our parents are right．
Please turn for your parents when in trouble, for they worth trusting and ready to offer
help all the time．
