My classmate Liu Hui looks tired this week. This morning, I asked him if he had trouble in fall asleep. There’s a old man in our village calling Old Joe, who is said to be 110 years old. I don’t know whether it is true because of he doesn’t have a birth certificate. All his personal papers are destroyed during World WarⅡ. Sometimes I doubt if he is really that old, and it doesn’t matter. He certainly looks very old, and of course, he is often asked question by people who want to know the secret of long life. Old Joe always answers them like this, “If you offered a cigarette, never accept it; if you are annoyed by someone, never lose his temper; and if you are asked foolishly questions, never answer it!”
I watch TV until 12 o'clock, so I could not go over my lessons. This morning I got up very late that I had to go to school without breakfast in hurry but I was late for the first class. When I entered the classroom, the maths teacher had to stop explain an important problem, and all the eyes fixed upon me. My face turned red. Something even worse was happened to me in English class. The teacher asked me to recite the text, yet I could speak nothing but sorry, for I did not spend any time preparing my lessons. The teacher looked at me with his coldly eyes. I stood at my bench without dare to raise my head. How a terrible day I had! I will never do anything like this.

I have a good friend whose name is Liu Mei. She is ourmonitor and one of he excellent student in our class.Though she is clever, but she works very hard. We have alot on common and have a lot to talk about. One evening shetold me that something happened when her parents was out.She was doing her homework one Sunday morning whileshe smelt something burning. She stopped look outof the window and found a cloud of smoke coming outof her neighbor’s house. She called 119 immediate. Tenminutes later, the firemen came and put out fire. Her neighborwas very thankful for her help.
