Have you ever noticed what happens to an idea once you express it? Just talking about it or writing it down causes you to make it clear in your own mind．How can you use this to increase your brain power? Start writing．
By putting thoughts into words, you are telling yourself the logic （逻辑) behind what you think, feel, or only partly understand．Often, explaining a thought is the process of understanding．In other words, you increase your brain power by exercising your “explain power．”
Try this experiment．Explain how you’ll increase your brain power, even if you have no idea how right now．Just start with anything, and create an explanation．For example, start with “I’ll learn chess,” or “I’ll read an article on the mind every week.” Explain how that will help．You’ll be surprised how often this becomes a workable plan, and if you actually do this, you’ll have a better understanding of your brain twenty minutes from now．
Another benefit of writing is that it helps you remember．Many, if not most, highly productive people are always taking notes．You can try keeping it all in your head, but if you keep a journal of your ideas the next time you’re working on a big project, you’ll probably have more success．
Want to understand a topic? Write a book about it．That’s an extreme example, but if you are learning something new, write a letter to a friend about it, and you will understand it better．Want to invent something? Write an explanation of the problem, why you want to solve it, and why it is worth solving, and you’re half-way there．
Writers don’t always write because they clearly understand something beforehand．Often, they write about something because they want to understand it．You can do the same．Writing will help bring you to an understanding．Give it a try．

Social rules or laws on marriage vary widely between countries．Some countries, still do not have a legal minimum age for marriage, which makes child marriages are very common, there．

Throughout this long, tense election, everyone has focused on the presidential candidates and how they’ll change America．Rightly so．But selfishly, I’m more fascinated by Michelle Obama and what she might be able to do, not just for this country, but for me as an African-American woman．As the potential First Lady, she would have the world’s attention．And that means that for the first time people will have a chance to get up close and personal with the type of African-American woman they so rarely see．
Usually, the lives of black women go largely unexamined．The prevailing theory seems to be that we’re all hot-tempered single mothers who can’t keep a man．Even in the world of make-believe, black women still can’t escape the stereotype of being neck-swirling（摇头晃脑）, eye-rolling（目光不专）, oversexed females raised by our never-married, alcoholic mothers．
These images have helped define the way all black women are viewed, including Michelle Obama．Before she ever gets the chance to commit to a cause, charity or foundations as First Lady, her most urgent and perhaps most complicated duty may be simply to be herself．
It won’t be easy．Because few mainstream publications have done in-depth features on regular African American women, little is known about who we are, what we think and what we face on a regular basis．For better or worse, Michelle will become a stand-in for us all．
Just as she will have her critics, she will also have millions of adoring fans who usually have little interest in the First Lady．African-American blogs have all written about what they’d like to see Michelle bring to the White House---mainly showing the world that a black woman can support her man and raise a strong black family．Michelle will have to work to please everyone---an impossible task．But for many African-American women like me, just a little of her poise, confidence and intellect will go a long way in changing an image that’s been around for far too long．

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long decline from his peak in the 1980s when he was music's greatest all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV．His 1982 album Thriller, which included the blockbuster hits（卖座歌曲） Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller is still the best-selling album of all time, with an estimated 50m copies sold worldwide．
