Among the lesson I had in my schooldays, the one given by an American is the most unforgettably. One morning, our teacher told us he had been invited an American to give us a lesson. Then a man came in. He introduced himself with English and began his class. It was different from those classes they had before. He told many funny jokes, teaching us English songs and helped us act out dialogues. He neither taught us English grammar or asked us to do written exercises. He was not serious and was always smiling us. Time went quickly and after we knew it, the class was over. I will never forget his smile and everything he does in class.

One day, Tom was riding along the street while suddenly a red car ran towards him fast. He is so frightened that he quick turned to the left side. But it was too late, the car knocked his bike and he fell of it. When the driver realized that he had caused an accident, he got such frightened that he escaped hurriedly. He was soon out of sight, left Tom helpless on the spot. Fortunately, a passer-by happened to see what had been happened and took down a number of the car. He reported that to the police, but the driver was caught.

Fang Tong, an actor, director and teacher of Beijing Opera Theatre, who is 34 years old. Most of his students are from other part of China and have come to Beijing at an age of sixteen or seventeen. He hopes create an environment for his students that it is much more relaxing than the one he used to study in. He thought that an actor should relax himself when performing. Yet his students deep respect him and he never needs to raise his voice in order to be hearing. For his opinion, actors should go on even when they feel they have made a mistake in their performances because the moment is already gone but people can never be back to it. So art is always changing and developing.

Dear Editor,
I'm a middle school student naming Lily. I'm writing to tell you something I don't think it good. Recently I've noticed many of my classmates often went to the Internet bar near our school. The other day I went there, too. I was very surprising to see many students playing games, seeing films and chatting. Some were even talking about love affairs on-line. In my opinion, an Internet bar should be a place which we can find much useful information. As is known to all that the Internet is a window to an outside world rather than a place for games. The Internet is good if we make good use it. Otherwise, it will do us great harm. So the local government should take measure to make sure that the students use Internet bars positively.

The zoo has big basket for rubbish. People can throw waste into them. On the Saturday afternoons there are usually a lot of people around the cages which the lovely animals are kept, and last Saturday nobody was there. Mr. Patties was surprised. But he was even much surprised to see few children around the basket near the tiger's cage. He quickly went up and looked at their heads and saw a little rat run about in the basket and looking for food. The rat afraid and the children were more interested in the rat than the tigers. How a lovely scene!
