Jim is one of my closely friends. Two months ago，his mother bought a computer
to him as a birthday present. She hoped Jim will study hard with the help of the
computer. To his surprise，Jim just wasted plenty of time play computer games every
day. Now she regrets buying the computer. As matter of fact，a computer can do a lot of
everyday jobs for us. It is wide used in factories，hospitals，banks and so on. Many
computers scientists are now trying to make the computer to “think” like a man. In my

As the high school student, I like to talk with foreigners to practise my oral English and learn more about other cultures. There were two foreign teachers in our school in this term. They often go to the English corner so that they can have a chance to practise the language. I seize every chance talk with them. However, I sometime find they are not so interested in which I say. And it's hard to me to choose a suitable topic. I would like some advices about how to communicate proper with foreigners and what topics to pick.

How exciting I am to hear you are coming to visit me the next Friday. Fortunately, I won’t be able to meet you at the airport although I have classes in the afternoon. You won’t find difficult to get to the city center. The bus left the airport every 30 minute and will take you right to the International Hotel. My class will be over by then or I will pick you up there. I will take you to a hot-pot restaurant for dinner and we’ll talk with our plan for the weekend over dinner. Did you enjoy yourself yesterday? I suppose you do. But I’d like to tell you what a bad day I had yesterday. Nothing just went wrong. On the morning, my alarm clock didn’t ring, since I woke up an hour late. I was in such a hurry that I burnt my hand when I was cooking the breakfast. Then I ran out of the house to catch the 8:30 buses. This is the bus I usually take. But, you may laugh, I missed it of course. I am very unhappy, and scared as well because teacher hates the students coming late to school. So I ran three mile to school only to discover that nobody was there. The school was quiet but peaceful. Our classroom was locked. I realized that moment: It was Sunday.

A smile is an attitude in life. In our life, there may be something unpleasant. For an example, being misunderstood by our classmates and failing in an exam. These unpleasant things may make us feel badly. Then what shall we do? Why not try learn to smile? Smiling to ourselves can bring back our confidence and make us forget unhappy things because sometime the greatest enemy is us. We should also learn to smile to others. It will help us have more friend. A smile is such a widely-used language that everybody could understand it. We have a wonderful world if our life is full of smiles.
