I as well as my family are going to New York City this weekend. I had been looking forward to go there for a long time. It is one of the modernist city in the world. There have also a lot of museums where you can learn something you can’t learn it in school. I’d also like to see the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. Unfortunately, the twin towers destroyed on September 11th, 2001 and I would have the chance to see them by myself. Now I am getting ready for the excited trip. I bet it will be a unforgettable experience.

I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard my name calling. I was chosen to play the leading role in the play, that was my dream. As a shy and thin girl,I used to be quite afraid of speaking in the public. But my parents and teachers always encourage me to do so. Now I have changed great. In class,I am often the first one to stand up and answer questions even if I may take some mistakes. No pains,no gains. Now I am always brave enough overcome the difficulty in my heart and have changed in a lively girl. So my experience shows that we should not be afraid of losing face but only in this way can we make progresses.

One day as my mom stopped at a red light, a man dressing in rags on the side of the road caught my eye. He had a radio in his hand and was dancing happy to the music. The radio seemed to be the best thing he had.
“Mom, why does that homeless man buy a radio? Why didn’t he use the money to buy food and clothes? He wasted them on something unnecessary.” I asked. “Well, Sarah, sometime food and clothes aren’t the most important thing. We need happiness as well as.”
I’ve come to realize that happiness is the key to life, without that there’s nothing to look forward. Happiness is what we need to keep going.

Last week our class voted on what to do our class outing: visiting the West Lake or going to the Zoo. Our girls wanted to go to the West Lake, and since we were in the minority, we lose to the boys, who all wanted to go to the Zoo. We got the admission rate for students, which was greatly since I still had enough money to buy a brochure about the park as well as anything at the souvenir shops. The animals were scary but really amusing. As we were taking the pictures, we could see the eye of many creatures looked out at us. Most of the animals there sleep when it is sunlight and wake up at night.

There is a belief that good habits result from resisting temptation.Enough examples can be found to illustrate the point of view.To begin with, eat more fruit and vegetables and less meat is a wonderful healthy habit.Of course, you would have to refuse a variety of delicious snack and junk food. Also, excellent habit of reading classic literature in a regular basis is another case in point. But you would definitely have to spend more time on your favorite TV programs or fascinating computer games.
Developing good habits, without any doubt, involve great perseverance and determination to stand against various temptations around us.It is not easy to do so.However, as we all know it, good habits are benefit to our lives and learning. Therefore, as far as I'm concerned, it's worth to develop great habits at the cost of resisting temptation.
