第二节信息匹配(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
请阅读下列应用文及相关信息, 并按照要求匹配信息。请在答题卡上将对应题号的相应选项字母涂黑。
首先,请阅读下列图书简介:

A.Beacon of Hope: A Guide to Internal Truth
It tells the story of an alcoholic who becomes a psychologist and her spiritual journey. It is interesting to hear the story from both that of an alcoholic and an addictionologist. Her voice is very clear. The role of spirituality and recovery is the emphasis of the book. If you are in recovery this book would be helpful. Like an extended story from "Came to Believe".
B.Jonathan Livingston Seagull
HE is just a seagull, but he has inspired millions of people, including US president Barack Obama, basketball superstar Kobe Bryant and late king of pop Michael Jackson.
The reason why a seagull can have such universal appeal is based on a simple fact. Each of us has the desire to be more than just ordinary. We see in Jonathan our longing for a higher purpose to life. But most of us remain part of the flock since “most gulls don’t bother to learn more than the simplest facts of flight — how to get from shore to food and back again”. With failure, hunger, storms, loneliness and misunderstandings to face, one can easily give up.
C.Yes Man - Movie Tie-In
Recently single, Danny Wallace was falling into loneliness and isolation. Until one day, when a stranger on a bus advised, "Say yes more." At that moment, Wallace vowed to say yes to every offer, invitation, challenge, and chance. For a year.
Soon after resolving to be more open to what the universe had to offer, Danny wins $45,000 and becomes a television executive...and a minister. He gives spare change to anyone who asks. Invents things. Travels the globe. Nods a lot. And finds that romance isn't as complicated as it seems.
Yes Man is inspiring proof that a little willingness can take anyone to the most wonderful of places.
D.Life of Pi

Life of Pi is the story of a 16-year old Indian boy adrift at sea for 227 days with only a dangerous Bengal tiger for a companion. Pi Patel's journey, and survival through the use of his wits and sheer determination, is one that grabs you and never lets go. It's a story that seems both too real and surreal at the same time. Yann Martel is a master story teller and he weaves a tale that is entertaining and thought-provoking and at the end, he challenges you to believe it all. A top-notch read. From our review, "Life of Pi is a delicious treat to savor."
E. Texas Tables
Whether you're entertaining for a party or serving up fast casual meals for the family, this triple-tested Junior League cookbook is a must have, top shelf resource. Harmonized with personal stories and culinary tips, you’ll want to read it first and cook second.
F. PADDINGTON BEAR
Here’s the story of how a smallish bear from “Darkest Peru” is discovered amid the bicycles and luggage of Paddington Station, in the middle of London, by Mr. and Mrs. Brown who had only planned on picking up their children from school. Luckily for all concerned, the Browns were just the sort of people to welcome a lost bear to their family.

Sharks have lived in the world's oceans for millions of years. A shark has an extremely good sense of smell. It can find small amounts of substances in the water, such as blood, body liquids and chemicals produced by animals. These powerful senses help them find their food.
Sharks grow slowly. About forty percent of the different kinds of sharks lay eggs. Some sharks carry their young inside their bodies as humans do. Some sharks are not able to reproduce until they are twenty years old. Most reproduce only every two years. And they give birth to fewer than ten young sharks. For this reason, over-fishing of sharks is of special danger to the future of the animal.
.They eat injured and diseased fish. Their hunting activities mean that the numbers of other fish in the ocean do not become too great. This protects the plants and other forms of life that exist in the oceans.
People hunt sharks for sport, food, medicine and their skin. Experts say the international market for some kinds of sharks has increased greatly because many parts of a shark are valuable.. 第二节:下面文章中有5个段落需要添加首句。请从以下选项(A. B. C. D. E和 F)中选出适合各段落的首句。选项中有一项是多余选项。
A. People will accept defeat easily.
B. Good sportsmanship (运动员精神) brings success.
C. Good sportsmanship brings happiness.
D. People can learn how to manage upsets.
E. Good sportsmanship reminds you of rules.
F. Good sportsmanship makes one responsible.
Should Good Sportsmanship Be Taught in School?
Almost everyone feels that it is important for young people to win fairly and show respect for others. Should good sportsmanship, then, be taught in school? The stronger argument, however, favors teaching good sportsmanship. Presented here are the most important benefits of teaching sportsmanship.
________ Having a positive attitude in activities like sports, class elections, and science fair competitions are important to success in school. Activities involving winning or losing can be tense. Acting calmly under pressure helps young adults succeed not only in sports but also in life. Good sportsmanship is not a given; it must be promoted in school. Young people must be directed to role models who practice sportsmanship.
________ A person cannot play by the rules if he or she does not understand what the rules are. Many arguments on the playing field could be avoided if athletes understood their responsibilities. This also applies to other activities. If students enter a science fair competition, for example, they must follow the instructions. Additionally, knowledge provides a competitive advantage. Those who understand the rules are much more likely to succeed. In school, for example, success is definitely stressed. When students learn sportsmanship, they discover how the rules related to achievement.
_______ Using good sportsmanship helps people stay focused and in control. Almost everyone has overheard a heated argument between a player and a referee(裁判). Good players do not argue with other players, coaches, or officials. They deal with upsets calmly; consequently, they stay in control of their game. Good players focus on achieving. Uncontrolled anger can actually cause a person to make errors. This result is especially embarrassing. Additionally, people can be labeled if they act out their upsets. A good sport is known for his or her positive conduct. Teaching students the consequences of their actions is part of sportsmanship.
_______ Good players become skilled at handling responsibility. When people accept responsibility, they achieve their best. Positive thinkers, moreover, influence others, especially those who are struggling with a problem. A gifted basketball player, for example, might teach skills to a less talented player. Helping others raises the performance of the entire team. The team, consequently, could reach new heights and set new records. Good sportsmanship, however, means “owning up” to mistakes as well. Those who do not practice sportsmanship pass off responsibility. For them, if an opportunity is lost, it is someone else’s fault. Imagine a team of players all acting in their own self-interest--- the opposite of what a team really should be. Students who participate in a team, whether a math small-group project or the school band, benefit by learning to accept responsibility and encourage others.
_______ Sportsmanship allows people to enjoy victory to the fullest. If people win, but their accomplishments are based on cheating or other immoral behavior, are they really winners? Good players follow the rules. They feel proud even in defeat because their game is based on honesty and respect. Winners congratulate their opponents(对手) as part of recognizing the efforts of others. This friendly behavior spreads goodwill from their team to other teams. Players who show respect for fans, coaches, and other players receive respect in return. They are recognized as leaders. In learning sportsmanship, students explore role models of positive behavior. They learn what it takes to be a leader; they also learn to win and lose with grace(风度).
