第一节 短文改错（每小题1分，共10分）
假定英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文，请你修改你同桌的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误，每句中最多有两处。错误涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。
增加：在缺词处加一个漏字符号（∧），并在其下面写出该加的词。
删除：把多余的词用斜线(\)划掉。
修改：在错的词下划一横线，并在其下面写出修改后的词。
注意：1.每处错误及其修改均仅限一词；
2.只允许修改10处，多者（从第11处起）不计分。
Dear Ralph,
I am an university student. I once thought life at the university must be excellent, but now I changed my mind. I have three roommates, and I was the last one to move into the dormitory. Last term, I got along peacefully and happy. But I find they are not willing to be with me now. They don't talk with me, and they've become cold toward me. Many time, I have wanted to talk with them about how I felt like, but I failed to find an opening. When leaving alone, I always recall this sadness. But I am an honest student. Why don't I win true friendship?

We are now living in an information world that TV, cell phones and the Web are wide used. It seems that many people can not enjoy them without them. However, if I had to give up one of them, I will turn off the TV rather than switch off my cell phone and cut off the Internet. I could do without TV because few show take my fancy and there’re too many commercials. Besides, most programs on the TV are also available elsewhere. As for cell phones and the Web, they are more necessarily to me. I need a cell phone to keep touch with my friends and family, and almost all information can be gather on the Internet.

For most people, it is almost impossible to operate on a computer without a mouse, let alone surf the Internet. A well-chosen mouse is really handy, flexible and convenience in controlling the screen. Without the functions of inserting, deleting, moving and copying, it enables us to edit text, browse web pages and download that we want. It can even bring us a flood of musics, movies and PC games. Just imagining, all that can be done with a cute mouse.
A convenient tool can certain make our work easier, and it doesn’t always help in a positive way. Too much ready information on our fingertips leaves a little room for knowledge pursuing. Too many ready answers make us less excited in finding truth. Relying too much on mouse clicking make us much lazier and less creative.

Last summer I take a part-time job in the International Camp for children. I have been told one more worker will be needed in this year and I think you are fit to it. How about join us? The camp is at the foot of a small hill close to a river. It is so a beautiful place! We can hear birds singing happy all around. Everybody sleeps in tents, that is very exciting. We usually work only five hours a day, so we will have plenty of spare time visit the area and have a fun. I am sure it will be an unforgettable experience.
