Grandma Moses was crazy about painting soon before she picked it up and worked hard at
it．She painted careful and her works were nice．She first painted only to please oneself, and
then began to sell her works with a little money．In 1993, a collector, Louis Caldor happen to
see several of Grandma Moses’ work hanging in a shop．He liked them, buying them at once,
and set out to look for less．Caldor held a show to introduce the works of Grandma Moses
other artists．Grandma Moses, who was world-famous, was died on December 13, 1961, at
the age of 101．

It can be seen, more and more people own mobile phones in China now. At the end of 2002, there were 20 millions mobile phone users. By 2005 a number reached up to 30 million. People have found mobile phones convenience. They can get in touch with each other whenever or wherever they like. There’re different functions to meeting different needs, such as surf the Internet. However, it may bring us some trouble. For an example, the radiation from the phone may do harm our health. In spite of this, the number of people having mobile phones are increasing steadily.

There are many different signs in the public. They tell you what to do or what not to do in a place. Do you know what they exact mean? For example, if you go to see a film, you should enter the cinema at the ENTRANCE and leave for the EXIT. You will either find NO SMOKING signs in many cinemas. If you visit a museum, don’t take some photos inside the halls. You are not allowed. You will find NO PHOTOS signs in many museum. When you drive a car, don’t park in a street without a NO PARKING sign. Making sure you understood the signs and you won’t get into any trouble.

One Saturday afternoon, Li Hua and Wang Ping, members from “Green Eyes”, was having an environmental protection activity near the riverside when they catch sight of a bird on the ground. They picked it out and found it wounded. Thinking it might die without timely help, they took it to home. They made a nest for it but fed it with rice and water. Under their treatment and care, the lucky birds got recovered soon. When time came for them fly the bird back to nature, they felt a bit pity but very delighting.
I think it’s worthwhile for him to do such a thing. Here I call on the public to show respect to nature. Only by changing the way we treat the environment can we get along good with it.
