Dear Jenny,
How’s it going? Are you busy with your study these days?
I’ve been back at school nearly four weeks. I’m very glad to tell you that great have taken place in our school this term. First of all, we’re asked to “clear our plates” when having our meals and say to wasting. Some of us used to order more than what we could eat. That was a big waste of food. Now we need to the food we order. We should also stop wasting in some other ways. For example, we should turn off the lights when we the classroom. And our school has opened up some fields for us to learn how to grow vegetables. Each class is given a small garden and our class has decided to grow some tomatoes and beans( 豆类) in our time. I think that’ll be very interesting. Maybe I’ll be able to you some beans we’ve grown by ourselves next time! What’s more, we have only two classes in the afternoon we have more time for after-school activities. I’m one of the traffic safety volunteers in our school. After school, we take turns to go to the streets near our school and ask people to the traffic rules.
I think we are having a different school life now!
Please write back soon and tell more about your school.
Yours,
Wang Wei

Most people want to be happy, but few know how to find happiness. Money and success alone do not happiness. A famous person once said, “Happiness depends on(依靠) .” In other words, we make our own happiness. Here is some advice that can make us happier.
The first secret of happiness is to enjoy the things in life. Too often, we spend so much time thinking about the , for example, getting into college or getting a good job, that we can’t enjoy the present. We should enjoy life’s simple pleasure, spending time with close friends, listening to our favourite music, or a good book. People who have a few close friends often live and healthier lives.
secret of leading a happy life is to be active, and have . We can collect toy cars, go fishing or play a like table tennis or basketball. In this way, we can enjoy ourselves and our problems or worries, and only think about the joy of activity.
, many people find happiness in helping others. People will feel good when they help others. we want to feel happier, do something nice for someone. We can help a friend his or her studies, go shopping to buy food for the elderly, or just clean up the park or streets.

Rich or poor, young or old, we all have problems. We can easily become unhappy we solve our problems. about our problems can affect how we do things at school or at home. So how do we deal with our problems?
Most of us have probably been angry our friends, parents or teachers. Perhaps they said something you didn’t like, or you felt they were unfair. Sometines, people can stay angry for years about a small problem. Time goes by, and good friendsships may .
When we’re angry, however, we are usually the ones affected. Have you ever seen young children playing together? But they fight very soon, and decide not to talk to each other. However, this usually doesn’t for long. They become good friends again. This is an important for us: we can solve a problem by learning to forget.
Many students often complain about school. They might feel they have too much work to do sometimes, or think the rules are too . We must learn how to change these “problems” into “challenges”(挑战). As young adults, it is our duty our best to deal with challenge with the help of our teachers.
By comparing yourself to other people, you will find your problrms are not so . Think about Stephen Hawking, for example, a very clever scientist. He can’t walk or even speak, but he regards his many physical problems as unimportant. Now he is known a great scientist in the world. We are probably quite healthy and smart. Let’s not worry about our problems. Let’s face the challenges instead.
