此题要求改正所给短文中的错误。对标有题号的每一行作出判断：如无错误，在答题卡相应的位置上画一个勾（√）；如有错误（每行只有一个错误），则按下列情况改正：
此行多—个词：把多余的词写在答题卡相应的位置上，用斜线（\）划掉。
此行缺—个词：在答题卡相应的位置上写出该加的词，并附带前（后）词。
此行错一个词：在答题卡相应的位置上写出该错词和改正后的词。

An English lady was finally decided that she really should
learn to drive, and after many attempts, she past her
driving test and told her husband that, to celebrate, he
was going to drive him over to France for a holiday. But
then a week after the trip, she suddenly announced that
they wouldn’t take the holiday. “How did you change your
mind?” he asked her by surprise. “Well, it’s all because
of the business of driving on right.” She said, “I have
been practising for three weeks now, but I still couldn’t
get used to it—in fact, I’ve nearly killed three peoples.”

I was real nervous when I got to my new school. I grabbed our bag and walked down toward the dormitory building. With my joy, I got warm welcome, and was shown to my room. After setting down my stuff and chose my bed, I was led to the Fog room. I saw some girl sitting in the middle of the floor, played games. A girl saw me, but she said, “Pleased to meet you.” Everyone had turned around, came running at me and formed a circle around me. After a while, I sat down by Hailey, that was my first friend there.

I always think my mother is also your good friend. When I lose my first tooth, when I found a friend, and when I fell off from my bike, she was there. She was proud when I succeeded but supportive when I failed. She always listened me. She seemed to know when I was asking for advices and when I just needed a good cry. We actual shared experiences, hopes, sadness and fears. She made me felt that my opinions were never small and silly. She never forgot to tell me what she believed in me. Now my mother is facing with some difficulties in life. I want to tell her everything will be OK and I believe in her, too.

Everyone has a dream. We are on the way to achieve it whether the way is smooth or tough. As Senior 3 student, I have the same dream as my classmates that I can be admitted to an ideal university. In the past three year, I have done everything I can to equip myself with that I have learnt from my teachers. Not only had I enjoyed the pleasure of study but also I have got closer to my dream. Anxiety and pressure did discourage from me at times and with the encouragement of my teachers and classmates, I think I’ll make it.
I’m sure that there has still a long way to go to achieve my dream. No matter what challenging it is, I’ll make it come true. As the proverb said,“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

This is the first time that I had been away from home, so I find it hard to live here. How I wish I can turn to Lucy, who once gave me much help! I had trouble with my study in Grade 9. So frustrating was I that I began to play computer games after school, when I should have paid more attention to catching up with others. Beside, I was even caught cheating in the exam, it worried my parents a lot. When asking about the reason why I fell far behind, I was too guilty to say a word. It was then Lucy came to my help, telling me not to give up. To my amazement, I made a great progress. Finally, I even became one of the top student in my class. I must say thanks to Lucy, without whose help, I could never have had so good grades.

In the past, my hometown was very small. People there lived poor life and the houses.were very old and shabby, even some of which were shaking in the wind. As for the traffic，it was very inconvenient that almost no tourists came.
However, there has been many changes in my hometown until now . Life has become better．The houses become larger and brighter，but more people get their own cars. Everywhere is decorated with green trees and beautiful flowers and grass. What's more，thousands of tourist from the world came here every year, that is really splendid. I believe my hometown will become more and more developed and beautifully. Everything in it will represent the advancing science and technology. At the same time，I will always keep it in my mind that my hometown must be greater in the future.
