An old man whose eyesight was failing comes to stay in a hotel, a bottle of whisky in his hand. On the wall was a fly he took for a nail．The moment he tried to hang the bottle on it, they fell and broke．When the landlady discovered what had been happened, she decided to do him favor．The next morning when he was out, the hotel worker hammered a nail exact where the “fly” had been．Before the old man came back, the smell of the whisky reminded him the accident．Looking at the spot what he thought the “fly” was again, he was so angry that he slapped it with all his strengths．On hearing the loud cry, the landlady rushed in．To her surprise, the poor old man was sitting on the floor with the palm of his hand bleed．

I often read English aloud and trying to learn something importance in heart. It help me remember what I have learned and form good habit of thinking in English. I listen a lot and communicate with other in English. By this way，I have been improved both my listening ability or my speaking English. I keep a diary in English every day and my written English is becoming good and better. I also try my best master the necessary grammar knowledges. By this means, I can express me correct. That’s what I have been learning English.

Dear Julie,
Last summer I volunteer in the Summer Camp for high school students. I have told that one more volunteer will be needed in this year and I think you are suitable for the job. Why not joining us? The camp is at a bottom of a mountain close to a beautiful river. It is such an amazing place, where we can hear bird singing happily .We can also cook for ourselves ,that is very exciting . We usually work a few hours a day , so we have a great many of spare time to play games and have fun. I am sure it will be a pleased experience. If you are interested at it , write to me soon.

A man got on a train and sit beside a woman. The woman was more than thirty year old. Soon they began talking to every other. It can be seen, more and more people own mobile phones in China now. At the end of 2002, there were 20 millions mobile phone users. By 2005 a number reached up to 30 million. People have found mobile phones convenience. They can get in touch to each other whenever and wherever they like. There’re different functions to meeting different needs, such as surf the Internet. However, it may bring us some trouble. For an example, the radiation from the phone may do harm our health. In spite of this, the number of people having mobile phones are increasing steadily.
