Ever since I was little, my favourite season was winter. I loved to play in the snow and enjoy the hot chocolate. 

Rudi Matt lived in a small village in the Swiss Alps in 1865. What he wanted most in the world was to climb the highest peak (峰) in the Alps. The situation seemed hopeless.
From the first day he entered my junior-high classroom, Willard P. Franklin lived in his own , shutting out his classmates and me, his teacher.
