My mother often asked me, “what is the most important part of the body?” Through the years I would guess at 1 I thought was the correct answer. When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, “My 2 , Mommy.” She said, “No. Many people are deaf. But you 3 thinking about it and I will ask you again soon.”

As my friend was passing some elephants,he suddenly stopped. He was confused by the fact that these huge animals were being held by nothing but a small rope. The rope was tied to their front legs. It was that the elephants could break away from the ropes at any time. But for some ,they did not.
My friend saw a trainer nearby and asked why these elephants just stood there and didn't to get away.
“Well,” he said,“when they are very and much smaller,we use the same size rope to tie them.At that age,it's enough to hold them.As they grow up,they are used to that they cannot break away.
They believe the rope can hold them,so they never try to break free.”
My friend was amazed. These animals could at any time break free, because they believed they couldn't,they were stuck right where they were.
Like the elephants, how many of us go life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we at it once before? How many of us are being held back by old, outdated that no longer serve us?

However, the computer would not let me .
Every day for the next three weeks, more e-mail kept arriving. I printed of all of them. The story was about Jane Winterbourne, a young writer working on her first novel. She sent her novel to Jack Tanner, an old writer and asked him to her to publish it. However, he cheated her, and published the novel himself — pretending that he had it. The novel was very . Tanner made a lot of money, and bought himself a house by the sea in Atlantic City. It was then that I realized that “Jack Tanner” and “Jane Winterbourne” were names. “Jack was to be Uncle John.”

The end of the school year was coming quickly. I was so excited because it was time for the school play tryouts. This year's play was called Mystery at the Lighthouse. I was to get the lead part of Joe who tries to solve the mystery of the lights that go on and off by themselves.
After school, all those who wanted to out for the play met in the gym at 3:30. My friend Kevin and I sat and waited for our turn to read for the play. The next day, were posted on the wall outside the gym. Kevin got a part in the play. However, l didn't see my name. I felt inside. I was sure I would get the part.
"I can't understand why I'm not in the play," I said to my Mom. "Rick, it just that someone was a little better than you. You shouldn't give up just because of this one time. Look at all the other things you're good at," said Mom. "You are great with art and drawing and you're a super soccer player." " I guess so, " I said I went to my room.
The next day at school Mr. Carter, the art teacher, asked me if I would be interested in doing some drawing and painting for the play. " You want me to help draw for the play?"" I sure do, " said Mr. Carter. I was so happy about being part of the play .
I stayed after school each day for the next week and drew a big lighthouse and painted it. I drew some boats in the water and painted them. I was so excited the night of the play. I from the side of the stage as Kevin said his part of the play very well. At the end of the show, Mr. Carter called all the students onto the stage who helped with the artwork, lights and moving things around on stage. I felt of being part of the play. I think I like doing the artwork better. It was so much fun!

SomeChinese students often study very hard for a long .This is a habit, but it is not a better way to study.A good student must enough sleep, enough food and enough rests. Every day you need to a walk or play basketball or sing a song. When you back to your studies, you'll find yourself stronger than before and you'll learn .
Perhaps we can that learning English is like Chinese medicine, the effects(效果)of your study come slowly strangely(奇特). Learn ,and effects will come just like Chinese medicine. Wait and see.
