Today, there are many problems between parents and children. Many people always ask, “ Why do we often argue(争论)?”
Parents show their love for children in different ways. They cook nice food, buy new clothes for them. They also care about their studies. Parents always ask “ You must work hard”,  “You should do your homework”, “Why not do homework for your exam?” all the time.
When children get bad marks(分数), their parents get very angry. They stop their children watching TV, playing games or going outside until they are good at their studies.
Why? Most families have only one child. The child is the hope of the family, they want the child to be the best.
Many children want to do things themselves. They want to do many unusual things that parents dislike. They like pop music, basketball and other new things. They enjoy surfing on the Internet and playing QQ games. They spend a lot of time chatting online and listening to the QQ music. In their parents’ eyes, these are a waste of time. Soon they found themselves in a thick fog. Cody was sure they would be hit by a big ship. Fortunately (幸运地), he saw a large buoy (浮标) through the fog and decided to tie the boat to it for safety. As he was getting onto the buoy, however, he dropped the wet rope. The boat moved away in the fog carrying Brett who did not know how to use the radio. He drifted (漂流) about and was not seen until twelve hours later.
Cody spent the night on the buoy. In the early morning he fell asleep and was having a dream when a shout woke him up. A ship, the Good Hope, came up and he climbed onto it and thanked the captain. The captain told him that Brett had been picked up by another ship and the ship’s captain had sent out a message.

Traffic accidents killed more than 104, 000 people in China last year. Chinese cities have more cars than ever. Drivers and pedestrians(行人)must work together to make the streets safer.

Do you ride in cars often? Don’t forget to put on your seat belt, even if you’re going for a short taxi ride. It could save your life.
If you see a hit-and-run(肇事逃逸), tell the police. They may give you a reward.
