Three years ago, I became a student in an ordinary school． Disappointing as I felt at the shabby campus and the poorly-equipped classroom, I find the teachers patient and considerate． However, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in class． I decided to make the best for it． I worked hardly and got along well with teachers and classmates． Whenever I had difficulties, they were always available． Soon, I became one of the top student in my class, what greatly increased my confidence and I got more motivated．
My experience tells me that it is not what you are given but that how you use it that determine who you are．

My father took me out camping for the first time when I was seven. He wanted teach me about animals, insects and trees. My uncles all come along with bows and arrows for hunting.
One evening at sunset, we sat by the fire, have our barbecue. Just then a bird was flying over us. My uncles immediate jumped up and shot their arrows on the bird. Neither of the arrows hit the target. Suddenly the arrows was flying down at us from the sky—they were looked like rain! We ran to escape but fortunately no one was injured.
That day I didn't learn much about animals, insects or trees, but I learnt a impressive lesson about gravity!

As a Senior Three student, it won’t take long after I graduate. Now, I have many to share with my fellow students.
Firstly, I’d like to show my appreciation to those stood by me all the way, teachers, parents and friend included. Without their help, my life will be different. Secondly, it’s high time I said sorry to the classmates I once hurt or misunderstood. I firm believe that communication and smiles act as bridges to friendship. Thirdly, I’ve made my mind to make every effort to study, as I know hard work is the key to a success. Finally I want to express my hope which all the young fellows should make full use of time, so time and tide wait for no man.

Nowadays, after-class activities are becoming more and more popular in high schools. In our school, there are various kinds of activities and we enjoyed them very much. Playing football is my favorite, which do me lots of good, such as building my body and keeping me healthy. Beside, it also frees me from the heavy work of study.
Here I have some advices. To students, you’d better to choose the activities which interest you and suit you; to schools, they should organize more activities for students, leave students time for activities by giving them more homework.

Dear editor,
Some years ago, my hometown was used to be a beautiful place. Thick trees and grass can be seen all over the hills. As time going by, people destroyed almost the whole forest grow more crops. To make matters worse, people let their cattles eat up the grass. So you can only see wasteland instead green forests now. As a result of, when it rains, the soil is washed down the hills and into the rivers. Strongly winds also blow away the valuable soil lie on the top of the fields.
I do hope all the people will take good care of the forests but plant more trees to improve our living conditions.

Joe Sanders have the most beautiful garden in our town. Near everybody enters "The Nicest Garden Competition" each year, but Joe wins every time. Bill Frith's garden is large than Joe's. Bill works harder than Joe and grows more flower and vegetables, but Joe's garden is more interested. He has make neat paths and has built a wooden bridge over the pool. I like gardens too, and I do not like hard work. Every year I enter for the garden competition too, and I always win a little prize for the bad garden in the town!
