Gary Locke, 61, who comes from a Chinese background and even looks Chinese, became the new US ambassador（大使）to China.

I walked down the hall heading to see my 88-year-old grandma who had been in hospital. Each member of the family was taking turns sitting with her because of her dementia (痴呆).
