In order to promote participation in outdoor exercise, our school had organized an activity to climb the West Mountain on April 10. Someone asks me what on the earth happiness means? I can’t give you the exactly definition of it, but I’m sure if you love and help others, you’ll get it.
I’ll never forget an old lady. She lives a small house alone. It’s said that her husband and her son were died in a traffic accident. How bitter her life is! But the old lady often helped others with a smile. Wherever it snows, she is always the first to clean the paths. She looks after several children living nearby. I am one of those. Yesterday, I saw the old lady fall down when I was hurrying to school. I was about to help her up while suddenly a passer-by stop me, saying that I might be accused of knocking her down. A young man called Low-Carbon Brother become a hit on the Internet in 2011. He suggests living a low-carbon life, which means using less energy in our daily life so that we can help reducing carbon dioxide in the air. For example, she always picks up some waste paper on the street or uses the blank side to write something. While he is watching TV, he always turns up the screen brightness to the minimum and turns off the light. Therefore, he goes to work by bike instead of driving. Some people think what he is doing is just a show. No one can live such a simply life with so many modern invention around us.
