There once was a place 36 all the people were happy and 37 . Everyone was friendly and neighborly. Even the dogs and cats 38 together.
Then one day a stranger was seen 39 toward the village: a tall, tall stranger. As the stranger, who was a giant, 40 closer and closer, the people all ran into their houses and wouldn't come out.
The giant 41 the village. He was enormous, towering over everything. 42 a little girl stepped out on her porch. She jumped down from her porch. Her family yelled, "STOP! COME BACK! That's a giant!" But she didn't stop. She began to walk 43 the giant.
The strangest thing 44 . As the child walked toward the giant, he grew 45 . Soon he was the same size as the girl. As she came beside the giant, she 46 him. She stooped down and gently 47 the giant up in her hands, asking, "What's your name?"
The giant whispered, "My name is F-E-A-R! Help me!! I have a terrible 48 . I guess I look strange. When I meet people they are afraid of me. And when people are afraid of me, I suddenly grow into a giant and everybody runs away from me. YOU are not afraid of me, so I stayed small. Do you 49 it? It's crazy! Please help me!"
"I can take you for a walk through our village," the girl responded. "I want everyone to hear of your problem. When they know the truth, they will no 50 be afraid of you. While we are going from house to house you can look at me 51 , and then you will stay the same size as you are now.
"But 52 we go, let's change your name. What do you want to be called? YOU should not be called FEAR, because YOU are not afraid. It's the people who look at you 53 fear you. That's what causes you to grow into a giant."
"Will you hold my hand 54 ? If I get scared I'll shut my eyes. Oh, and will you please call me 55 ."

When Sanalitro called to the ring, she explained it was a gift from her boyfriend, who had only given it to her two months ago when they reunited.

I had the meanest mother in the world. other kids ate candy, I had to have cereal(谷物食品),eggs or toast. While others had cakes and French fries,I had to eat a sandwich. But at least,I wasn’t in my suffering. My sisters and two brothers had the same mean mother as I did.
My mother knowing where we were at all times and who our friends were . She insisted if we said we’d be gone an hour, then we be gone one hour or —not one hour and one minute. She made us wear the clothes made by herself, just to money. Now you can see how she was.
The is yet to come. We had to be in bed by 9:00 each night and at 7:45 the next morning. We had to wash dishes. beds, and learn to cook.I believe she lay at night thinking up mean things to do to us.
Through the years, things didn’t a bit.We could not lie in bed, pretending to be“ ”like our friends did to miss school. Our friends’report cards had beautiful colors on them, black for passing, red for .My mother, ,would only be content with black marks.
As the years by,we graduated from high school.Out of the four children,a couple of us !higher education than university level. With our mother us pushing and demanding, of us was allowed to drop out of school. She forced us to grow up into educated and honest adults.
Now I'm trying to my three children.I'm filled with when my children call me mean.Because, you see,I thank God,he gave me the meanest mother in the whole world.

The hardest arithmetic(算术) to master is how to count our blessings.
According to legend, a young man while crossing the desert a spring of delicious crystal-clear water. The water was sweet that he filled his leather canteen he could bring some back to a tribal elder who had been his teacher.
After a four-day journey he the water to the old man who took a deep , smiled warmly and his student greatly for the sweet water. The young man returned to his village with a heart.
Later, the teacher let another student taste the water. He , saying it was awful. It had become sour because of the old leather container.
The student his teacher: “Master, the water was . Why did you pretend to like it?”
The teacher replied, “You tasted the water. I tasted the gift. The water was only the container for an act of loving-kindness and could be sweeter.”
I think we understand this lesson best when we receive innocent gifts of from young children. it’s a greeting card or a bunch of flowers, the natural and proper is appreciation and expressed thankfulness because we treasure the idea the gift.
Gratitude doesn’t always come . Unfortunately, most children and many adults value only the thing given the feeling reflected in it. We should remind ourselves and teach our children about the beauty and purity of of gratitude. After all, gifts from the heart are really gifts of the heart.
