Today I was having a PE lesson while I fell down and hurt my foot. I was in greatly pain at that moment, but I tried to act as if nothing has happened until the class was over. Though I had difficulty walk back to my classroom, I still didn’t tell anyone but even refused the offer of help of my classmates. As result, the hurt in my foot become worse. Now I know I was wrong. We can tell others our need for help and accept his help. Some day we can not help others in return. In this way, we can get along to each other happily and peacefully.

Today we are having a farewell party honor our friend Peter. He is going back to my homeland before the New Year. In the past year Peter and all of us have been on well terms. Also, we have helped each other and become good friend. Thank you Peter for be a part of this class! Last Sunday I am about to leave the Green Lake Park when I met a foreign visitor whose seemed to be lost. I tried to help him but I found we had difficulty in understand each other because of my poor English. Just at that moment, tall young lady came to our help. He spoke very good English. With her help, the foreign visitor finally found the way but I learned some English as well. Before he left, the foreigner thanked to us for our kindness. I was very exciting that day. This experience have made me realize that English is real useful and worth learning. I will work hard at it from now on.

Last year I spent my the first Thanksgiving Day in my own house. I have never cooked Thanksgiving dinner before, so I wanted to be special. I spent what seemed like forever cooking, and to my surprised it came out looking perfectly! Then I realized that I had forgotten my soft drinks at the store but I ran out to get them away before the guests arrived. I was away for no more than 15 minute. When I returned back, I found my turkey on the floor surrounding by a greedy cat and a dog with turkey bits in their mouths.

Sometimes in February, my teacher told us about the city speech contest, its topic was “People who have overcome difficulties in their lives”. I thought of my grandma would be my perfect topic. Then I carefully prepared for contest. A couple of weeks later, after the first round I was choosing to be one of the seven finalists! The final was held soon. I was the sixth to present the speech. How a relief when I finished it ! After the last person finished, the judge made their final decisions and announced that I have won first prize. The audience were going wildly clapping and cheering ! I was extremely happy. It was such exciting a moment that I will always remember.
