America is a country that was established by all the immigrants that came to settle there. The original settlers in America are the Indian-Americans who have been living there for thousands of years already, even before Christopher Columbus discovered it. Many people wonder the answer to the question why Mexican immigrants came to America.
        
The first answer to the question, why immigrants came to America is that most of them came to be saved from getting persecuted from a religious and get freedom. The Irish immigrants were just like some of the Mexican immigrants who came because they were afraid of getting persecuted（迫害） by the England church.
        
The second answer to the question, why Mexican immigrants came to America is to escape famine（饥荒）from Mexico. A big famine happened in the eighteenth century. A lot of people had no food and were starved to death so that they had to leave.
