Filmgoers should be told how many calories there are in the popcorn, ice cream and soft drinks that they buy in cinemas, according to the Food Standard Agency.
Smaller popcorn buckets and drink cups should also be made, the nutrition inspector said.
Tim Smith, chief executive of the agency, told The Times that cinemas should help to deal with the country's overweight.
"There is a misbelief that popcorn is calorie-free, but that is not the case. It is ato us," he said. "Portion sizes are also a big issue, and there seems to be increasingly big packs on sale."
He spoke as a number of food chains such as Pret A Manger, Wimpey and The Real Greekto put calorie counts on all their menus.
A trial scheme(试行方案) with 21 food companies took place last summer, andare that consumers altered their buying habits when they realised the number of calories in a product.
A consultation(征询意见) on the trial ends next month but Mr Smith is already planning the second drive for American-style calorie counts and isto win support from cinemas and other entertainment places, from football grounds to concert halls.
Governmentsuggest that two thirds of adults and a third of children are overweight. If trends are not, this could rise to almost nine in ten adults and two thirds of children by 2050, putting them atrisk of heart disease, cancer and other diseases.

The Internet has opened up a whole new online world for us to meet, chat and go where we’ve never been before.
But just as in face to face communication, there are some rules of behavior that should be followed when on line. 1Imagine how you’d feel if you were in the other person’s shoes.
For anything you’re about to send: ask yourself, “Would I say this to the person’s face?” if the answer is no, rewrite and reread. 2
If someone in the chat room is rude to you, your instinct(本能)is to fire back in the same manner. But try not to do so. 3If it was caused by a disagreement with another member, try to fix the situation by politely discussing it. Remember to respect the beliefs and opinions of others in the chat room.
4Offer advice when asked by newcomers, as they may not be sure what to do or how to communicate. When someone makes a mistake, whether it’s a stupid question or an unnecessarily long answer, be kind about it. If it’s a small mistake, you may not need to say anything. Even if you feel strong about it, think twice before saying anything. Having good manners yourself doesn’t give you license to correct everyone else. 5At the same time, if you find you are wrong, be sure to correct yourself and apologize to those that you have offended(冒犯).
It is not polite to ask others personal questions such as their age, sex and marital status. Unless you know the person very well, and you are both comfortable with sharing personal information, don’t ask such questions.

A.It’s natural that there are some people who speak rudely or make mistakes online.
B.Repeat the process till you feel sure that you’d feel comfortable saying the words to the person’s face.
C.Everyone was new to the network once.
D.The basic rule is simple: treat others in the same way you would want to be treated.

E. When you send short messages to a person online, you must say something beautiful to hear.
F. You should either ignore the person, or use your chat software to block their messages.
G. If you do decide to tell someone about a mistake, point it out politely.

Does this situation seem familiar to you? Your English is progressing well, the grammar is now familiar, the reading comprehension is no problem, and you are speaking quite fluently._ _
First of all, remember that you are not alone. Listening is probably the most difficult job for almost all learners of English as a foreign language. The most important thing is to listen as often as possible. _The Internet is really a useful tool for English students. You can download The RealPlayer from RealMedia.com. The RealPlayer allows you to use the Internet like a radio station.
Once you have begun to listen on a regular basis, you might still be frustrated (受阻)by limited understanding. ____
Here is some of the advice I give my students:
●Accept the fact that you are not going to understand everything.
●Stay relaxed when you do not understand, and try listening to the material for more times.
● Do not translate everything into your native language.
_____ Don’t concentrate on details before you have understood the main ideas.
● Listen to something you enjoy.
I remember the problems I had in understanding spoken German when I first went to Germany. In the beginning, when I didn’t understand a word, I insisted on translating it in my mind. This method usually resulted in confusion. Firstly, translating creates a barrier between the listener and the speaker. Secondly, most people repeat themselves constantly. By remaining calm, I noticed that even if I didn’t pay much attention I could usually understand what the speaker had said.

A.But you can’t follow a native English speaker at all!
B.What should you do?
C.But listening is a problem for most of the beginners!
D.However, after several weeks, I got used to the new environment in Germany.

E.So, what you need to do is to find listening resources.
F.Then, after the first six months, I discovered two extremely important facts.
G. Listen for the general idea of the conversation.
