I can’t swim so I have a strong fear of water. Look back at my childhood, I think that three reasons might explain fear. Firstly, I am not allowed to go near the water when I was a child, as my mother had an unreasonable fear of it. Therefore, I was taught to see to the water as something danger. A lecture on “English learning” was held on an afternoon of last Friday in our school. The lecture giving by a professor from Peking University lasts from 2:00 to 4:00. He stressed serious the importance of learning English in modern times. Then he shared their learning experience with us. Besides, he introduced some useful ways memorize English words or improve our spoken English. After the interested lecture, we asked him for advices on some problems we had while learning English. We have been learned a lot from this lecture
