A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was cooking supper, and passed her a piece of paper that he had written something on. After his mom dried her hands on an apron (围裙), she read what it was on the paper .
For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the supermarket for you: $1.00
For looking after my little brother while you went shopping: $1.00
For taking out the trash: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up the garden: $2.00
Total: $16.00
Well, his mother looked at him for a while, and then she picked up the pen, turned over the paper he’d written on, and this was what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me, free.
For all the nights that I’ve sat up with you, fed you and sung songs for you, free.
For all the tears (泪水) that you’ve caused through the years, free.
For all the nights that were filled with worries, free.
For the toys, food, clothes and even cleaning your nose, free.
Son, when you add it up, the full cost of my love is free.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were tears in his eyes and he looked straight at his mother and said, “Mom, I sure do love you.” And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

Teenagers, however, have many more opportunities(机会) to get stressed than people in any other age group. Being a teenager is hard. You are not a child any more, but you are not an adult, even though you have to deal with some very grown-up problems and decisions. Families can be one of the biggest causes of stress, such as problems with parents arguing at home, or problems with brothers and sisters. Teenagers also have a lot of stress from school, either from their teachers or from their friends. Some teenagers also feel stressed about choosing their education after high school. Getting a place at university(大学) can be very difficult and some cannot afford to go to university. The stress about getting a job when finishing school is hard for some teenagers. There are so many young people finishing school and not enough jobs for them. Sadly, there is nothing we can do to remove these causes of stress from the 1ives of teenagers, but you can learn the best way to deal with it. Who are you? Sure you know your name, but your name is just a label (标签); it does not describe who you are. In a world with over six billion people, there can be millions of Johns or Jennys, but there is only one YOU. So what makes you special?
There are three things that make you different from any other person on the planet: your looks, your fingerprints (指纹) and your personality. Your looks and fingerprints certainly make you special, but these are just physical characteristics(特征). It is your personality that really describes who you are.
Personality is the form of emotions, thoughts, and behavior that people show throughout their lives, which makes them different from others. It is especially shown in how they behave towards other people.
Each person’s personality is made up of different personality traits (特征) such as kindness or shyness. These traits decide how people behave in different situations. A person’s personality decides everything they say and do. The human’s brain(大脑) has a special part that gives us personality and allows us to think for ourselves. This part of the brain is called the mind. Someone’s personality can change if their brain damaged in an accident. Scientists cannot study the mind by looking inside someone’ brain! To study the mind, scientists have to study human behavior. This includes studying people and having personality tests. Scientists believe that answers to the questions tell us something about a person’s personality traits. After asking thousands of people thousand of questions, they have found that some personality traits seem to go together. For example, shy people are often quiet. They have an introverted (内向的) personality type. The opposite is an extroverted (外向的) personality type —people who are outgoing, friendly and like being around other people. Describing personality types is not easy. In fact, scientists do not all agree on how many personality types there are, or how exactly they are described.

With more and more cars on the road, the traffic jam will happen. How do we see it and how can we solve the problem?
We know that the traffic jam happens in many places, especially in big cities. What are reasons for the problem? On one hand, some people think that they should have a car when they have enough money, and then it’s easy to go out and they can feel comfortable. On the other hand, a growing number of people hope to use their cars to show off (炫耀). What’s more, years of research has shown that one of other reasons for the traffic jam is the driving habit. Many governments are working at how to make the traffic better. In my opinion, firstly, the governments should educate those people who have cars or plan to buy cars.
