When I stopped by to get a newspaper, a tall, sincere man came over to me asking for help with directions. With a printout of Google maps, he was looking for a _______ on the main street, but just couldn’t find it. After checking out his written directions, I mapped it my phone and showed him where he needed to go.
He, in , mentioned that he had tried going there, but there was no such street number and he just couldn't locate his hotel.I it again for him.He thanked me with a big smile, shook my hand, and .I got into my car and he got into his, and we ways.As I drove to the next grocery store and went in, I sensed wrong about the directions-so I Googled the address again and that he was looking for the right address but in a city half an hour away!
it had been several minutes, the chances of finding him miles away-where he was surely still looking around-were .But I thought I'd give it a(an) and set off in that direction. I'd noticed what his car looked like, and was just about to give up.I parked my car as I considered what else I could do- , like magic, he drove right by and pulled over into a nearby parking spot, still about where the hotel was.
When I next to him, he couldn't believe it: " did you find me?!" he asked."I'm not sure, but I that you are in the wrong city!" I showed him the right directions, and after more and a handshake, we .Likely that we'll never meet again, and that makes it much more sweet.

Last weekend, my kids along with few other kids from the neighborhood volunteered to help me wash my car. My 10-year-old daughter came up with the idea of 36 other people’s cars as well. It was pretty 37 outside and I had no plans to 38 being in the bright sun. She 39 wanted to give lemonade(柠檬汽水)to passers-by for free. I had seen little kids 40 and sell fresh lemonade for a small cost but not free. Although I felt 41 , I decided to help her.
42 she asked me, “What if we 43 this a smile car wash?” I couldn’t hold back my tears and 44 her and the other kids to go outside the house and come up with 45 ideas. While I kept myself busy in drying the car, the gang walked up to me with a(n) 46 with beautiful images of smiles. They had “Free Car Wash” written on it and the 47 of their exercise was “smile”. It was pretty neat to see a team of kids ranging 5-11 years with the 48 to do something for others.
All that seemed49 and came right from their heart. Nothing seemed to50 to them: their playtime, the heat outside—they just wanted to 51 others and do something nice in the community!
I helped them make some fresh lemonade and brought out some additional 52 to help clean cars. Passers-by were 53 and one even shouted back to them saying “God Bless You, my kids…” One of them even tried giving them 5 dollars, which they refused. A pretty heartwarming 54 !
I feel blessed by being 55 by such wonderful and loving souls.

After attending a conference, I returned to my hotel room late one evening. The overhead light out- side my door was burned out and I had 36 finding the keyhole. When I 37 to open the door, I38 around the wall for a light switch.I found a plate where a switch was 39 installed… but no switch!
Not discouraged easily, I remembered40 a lamp by the bed when I deposited my luggage 41 in the day.I found the bed in the 42 and then the lamp, but when I switched it on ,nothing 43 ! I thought that perhaps if I opened the curtains I might be able to use whatever light comes in from the 44 to find another lamp.So I 45 my way slowly across the room to the curtains and …no drawstring! I finally stumbled (跌跌撞撞地) around 46 I found a desk lamp which actually 47 !
That evening I discovered in a whole new way just how dark the world 48 be and how-necessary light is! But even more necessary than 49 light is the light that shines from people—the light of 50 and faith.Because, for many people, the world is a dark and 51 place. For someone today just may be stumbling in discouragement or sadness or fear and in 52 of some light. So let your light shine.Whatever light you 53 may be a beacon of hope and encouragement. And if you feel that your light is 54 a candle in a forest remember there isn’t enough darkness in all the world to 55 the light of one small candle.
