When I was studying in Kansas City last year，a hurricane swept through the city．We were sitting round the kitchen table while we heard the alarm．We ran down into the basement and laid on the floor．Then I heard a noise，like approaching train，which got louder and louder．The house began to shake! And then ，all of a sudden，it stopped．We went to upstairs and tried the door to the kitchen，so it wouldn't open．The house directly across the street had completely been disappeared! We were relieved to see people coming from the basement unharming．Amazing，the upstairs of the house was unaffected．But the hurricane had broken all the windows in the kitchen，and the wind had blown the kitchen table—the one we were sitting minutes before—against the door to the basement．

It is reported, some needy students receive financial support from some kind people but never express our thanks. Personally, I think they are wrong. Though the helpers didn’t expect any reward in return, it is necessary and good manner to say “thank you”. Besides, it is a basic social skill express ourselves in modern society. Thank you very much for your last letter asked me something about how to choose a dictionary for learn Chinese. Here I strong recommend you the following two which may be useful to you. One of they is the English-Chinese/ Chinese-English Dictionary which will cost you 52 yuans. There are 18,000 English words and 20,000 Chinese words in them. So it has lots of examples showing how to use the words, you will be very valuable for the beginners like us. The other one is Xinhua dictionary, which charge you only ￥11 and has a collection of 10,000 Chinese words. It is the most commonly used one in China. Most families in China hoped their single children will have a happy future, so they are very strict in their
children. So do teachers in school! Many children are given so much homework that they have hardly
any spare time have sports. The children are forbidden to do anything but to study. No wonder such many
children are tired of lessons. Some even attack or kill his parents and teachers! I believe many people

It is important to know that a parent should do to help reduce children’s stress. If you notice that your child is becoming nerve, he may have problems at the school. He may has trouble sleep. He may be depressing but begin to suffer from headaches. In this case, you should talk him to try to discover the causes of her stress. You should spend extra time helping him. In short, you need to be complete supportive and encouraging all the time.
