Toys may be children’s best friends, but when you talk about large museums that are full of different kinds of toys—it isn’t a children’s play anymore.
As the largest of its kind in the world, Penang Toy Museum has over 100,000 toys, dolls and other fun things. It has also entered the Malaysia Book of Records as the first toy museum in the country and with the largest toy collection.
The owner, Loh Lean Cheng, said everything began with his love of toys. He started to collect toys after visiting the London Toy and Model Museum many years ago.
In the past 40 years , his collection has kept on growing and growing. Today, almost everything that you think of about toys can be found there. According to the owner, some of his toys are limited editions (限量版) that he got during his trips around the world. The most expensive toy that he has had is a Gundam robot from Japan.
If you go to Malaysia, don’t forget to go and have a look at the toys. It will be a great dream in every person’s mind.
