South Africa is also very interesting. There are lots of animals. Lions and tigers are frightening but birds, giraffes and zebras are beautiful. Don't move quickly near a hippo. Hippos are dangerous. They can break your leg or arm.
In Australia, you can walk up a bridge. It's exciting! You can ski, climb mountains and see animals there, too. Some animals are in the zoo and some are outside.

The biggest animal in the world lives in the ocean. It's the blue whale.
How big are blue whales? They can be 31 metres long. They can weigh 136,000 kg. They are bigger than any other animal - even dinosaurs.

Long races are some of the most exciting events at the Olympics. The marathon was introduced at the first Olympics in 1896. For many years, women ran long races but they did not do it at the Olympics. Then in 1972, the Olympics women's 1,500 metre race started.
By 1988, the Olympics had the women's 3,000m race, 10,000m race and the women's marathon. The 3,000m changed to the 5,000m in 1996.
The 5,000m race is 12.5 laps of the track, and the 10,000m race is 25 laps of the track. The best runners in long races are not the fastest runners. The best runners do not stop. They do not run too fast and do not run too slow. They only run fast at the end of the race.
Wang Junxia won the gold medal in the 5,000m race and the silver medal in the 10,000m race at the 1996 Olympics. At the 2004 Olympics, Xing Huina was the best runner in the 10,000m race. Are you a runner? Maybe you can continue the work of these amazing women.
