I had a interesting dream last night. I dreamed that I took part in a race. At first, I could not run very fast and fall behind. So I didn’t lose heart and kept running. All the students on the playground cheer me on, “Come on!” I was so encouraged that I ran faster and fast till I caught up all the other runners. I felt as if flying like a superman. In the end, I got to the finishing line at first. I won the race. I felt very proudly of myself. Many of my classmate threw me up into the air. Just at that time I woke up and found me still in bed!

Harvey had eight umbrellas but they were all broken. He decided have them repaired. He took theumbrellas to the shop and left them here. The shopkeeper said, "They'll be ready tomorrow." That evening Harvey went home from a office by bus. He sat next to an old woman. She had an umbrella on the floor between the seat. When the bus reached its stop, he picked up her umbrella and standing up. "Hey!" the woman said, "That umbrella belonged to me." "I'm so sorry." Harvey said, giving it to him. "Please excuse me by taking your umbrella by mistake." The next day he was collected the umbrellas and got on the bus and saw the same woman. As he sat down, she said, "You have certain had a successful day!"

How are you? Today I've got a wonderful news to tell you. I have offered a scholarship at a university in Australia for my further education. One hundreds and twenty students took exams but only a few was chosen and I was one of them. However, my parents are not happy about it. They are strong against me going there. They say it is too far away that they will not see me for a whole year and they are afraid I will feel lonely. They couldn't imagine a girl so young living alone. They advise me to study in the capital instead. Then I'll be able to continue living with us. Why can I persuade them to accept the fact I have grown up?

Although we may not realize it, but when we talk with others we make ourselves understand not just by words. We send messages to the people around us also by our expressions and body movement. A smile and a handshake shows welcome. Wave one's hand is to say "Goodbye". Nodding head means agreement when shaking it means disagreement. These gestures are received both by Chinese and English speakers as having the same meaning. But not all body language means the same thing in different country. Take nodding the head for example. In some Asia countries it means not "Yes" but "No".

When a rabbit sees something danger, it runs away. Its tail moves up and down as it runs. When other rabbit see this tail moved up and down, they know that there is danger, and they run, too. Many other animals use this kind of language. When a bee has found some food, it go back to it’s home. It can’t tell the other bees where the food is with speaking to them. And it does a little dance in the air. This tells the bees at home there the food is. Some animals say things by make sounds. A dog barks when the stranger comes near. A cat purrs when pleased.
