It isn’t hard to grow up into a responsible members of society.
I can well remember an incident that happens on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was on my way to the bookstore and was waiting the green light at a crossing when a girl of about ten was knocked on by a passing car, it drove off quickly. A man immediately rushed to a girl to give her first aid and I joined in without hesitation. Luckily she was not badly injured but we sent her to the nearest hospital. Comparing with the escaped driver, I am proud of what I did.
As a member of society, I am aware of that being responsible is that it takes to make a better society.

Sometime in February, my teacher told us about the city speech contest, its topic was “People who have overcome difficulties in their lives”. I thought of my grandma would be my perfect topic. Then I carefully prepared for contest. A couple of weeks later, after the first round I was choosing to be one of the seven finalists! The final was held soon. I was the sixth to presenting the speech. How a relief when I finished it! After the last person finished, the judge made their final decisions and announced that I have won first prize. The audience were going wildly clapping and cheering! I was extremely happy. It was such exciting a moment that I will always remember it.

It is likely for anyone to be misunderstood for some reason. I am no exception. One day after school, I got on my bike and start heading home. I was just about to get out of the traffic jam outside our school while a woman stopped me, claim that my bike had scratched his car. I felt confused because that I clearly remembered that I was trying to avoid touching her car just now. Therefore, she insisted on blaming me and gradually rose her voice. Mary Daniels is a student in England. This year she had a very interested
summer holiday. He travelled with fifteen others people to the Tuwenzori Mountains
in Africa. They went there to help make a road through a forest among two big towns.
“It was very difficult because of there was no water to drink and no shops that we
could buy food,” said Mary. “It was also very cold and wetter in the mountains. It is
one of the wettest place in the world.” Mary stays in the mountains for six weeks. It
was hard work, but she said it was best thing she had ever done. She is hoping to
return next year to do some more work there.
