The kitchen is one of the most important parts of the house. You may think that, since it’s only used for cooking, there’s no need to pay much attention to its color.    Color influences people’s mood and creates an atmosphere, and surely you want to be in a good mood when you’re cooking.
To decorate a kitchen, first look for a theme which will then influence the color scheme (方案). The most common colors in kitchens are white, yellow and other light colors. Kitchens are usually painted in one color to create a clean and neat look.    Also, since kitchens tend to have smaller windows, the light colors help make it brighter. Neutral colors such as gray and cream can also be used to create some contrast.
Start with your favorite color, or two light colors that balance each other. Make sure that you test them thoroughly first so that you can be sure they’ll actually work. For more adventurous kitchen owners, three colors next to each other can also work. But these need to be carefully chosen, because one wrong color can ruin the whole look of the kitchen.
When the kitchen color scheme has been chosen, other elements must be considered. Some important things, such as cupboards, in the kitchen can affect its look. Tiles (瓷砖) and the floor must be chosen to fit the look.
Last but not least, no matter what color scheme you use, make sure that it really is the one you want.

A.Many people want to decorate their kitchens with bright colors.
B.Different colors have different effects on people’s mood.
C.Otherwise, get advice from other members of the family.
D.The light colors make the room seem bigger than it is.

E. There are different ways to create a color scheme.
F. In a word, kitchen decoration must go together with the color scheme.
G. But in fact, the color schemes of kitchens are as important as those of any other rooms.

If you find that your teacher is unfair to you, think about what is happening. Try to find out whether your teacher really dislikes you, or whether something else is going on. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
Ask your classmates if they are having trouble with the teacher, too. If they say yes, perhaps your teacher is to blame.
Are you working up to your ability? Maybe you got a C in your last test, and your teacher told you that you could do better. And the kid sitting beside you got a C, too. Isn’t this unfair? Well, it could be that your teacher knows that you could do better if you put more effort into it. .
There’s nothing wrong with being sensitive (敏感的) ,but if you react to criticism quite differently from others, this could be a reason why you think your teacher doesn’t like you.
Does your teacher seem to act unfairly all the time, or just once in a while? Think about the harsh (苛刻的) things your teacher has done to you. Are these things happening every day, or just once or twice a month? If your teacher really hates you, you would probably be picked on all the time. .

The following week you put on another three bags, plus the leftover bag from last week. But again, only two bags are collected. Imagine this cycle is repeated over the following weeks.
This is a simple description of what happens to your body when your kidneys (肾脏) don’t work efficiently. Your body is not thoroughly emptied of waste products. Other areas of the body such as blood pressure and red blood cell production are affected and the insidious process that may lead to kidney failure begins.
It’s not uncommon for people to lose up to 90% of their kidney function before developing any symptoms. There may be no warning signs. This makes early detection (诊查) difficult.
Kidney’s main job is to remove toxins (毒素) and unwanted water from our blood. Every day our kidneys clean an average of 200 litres of blood. Kidney failure may be a gradual and silent process, going unnoticed because there is no apparent pain.
Research shows that more than 25% of the patients requiring dialysis (透析) do not see a kidney specialist before they have to do so. Some risk factors for kidney disease such as age and genetic make up are out of our control; however, some changes in lifestyle may help prevent kidney damage. Two major risk factors for kidney disease, diabetes (糖尿病) and high blood pressure, have been on the rise over the last few decades. Both conditions are chiefly affected by being overweight and not getting enough exercises, which are the potential risk factors for the kidney disease.
The author gives the example of the house we live in to indicate that _______.

A.it’s safe and harmless for our body to keep some waste

C.our body will not produce any waste if our kidneys work efficiently
