Once upon a time, there was a lion and a mouse.
One day, when the lion was sleeping, the mouse ran onto his face. The lion woke up. He was very angry and caught the mouse. “I will eat you!” the lion said angrily.

It is well known that Albert Einstein was one of the greatest scientists of all time and he was also a really great person. Here are some interesting things about him.
When Einstein started to work in America, someone asked him what he needed. He said he needed a desk, some paper and a pencil. He also asked for a big waste-paper basket to hold all of his mistakes. This shows that he knew even the cleverest man in the world can only learn by making mistakes.
Einstein regarded time as very important. He never wore socks and he thought putting on socks was a waste of time as people already wore shoes. He also thought it was a waste of time remembering things that could quickly be found in a book. That's why he never remembered his own phone number, which was in the phone book. He knew what was worth remembering. It is true that if we are going to do great things in our lives, we can not waste our time.
Einstein liked to joke too. Once in an exam a student asked him why all the questions were the same as last year's. Einstein replied the questions were the same but the answers were different!

Studying in groups is becoming more and more popular in class. It has many advantages. For example, we can not only save time but also encourage each other when we study in groups.
I still remember when I was in Grade 8, my physics was very poor. I had a really hard time with it. Once in class, the teachers asked us to discuss it with each other, but I was very shy, I could not do it like what they told me. My physics teacher encouraged me to face others and talk with someone else bravely. Then I studied with some classmates together. When I did not understand any questions, they could give me some advice, I could quickly find out the ways to deal with the problems. After that, I felt very relaxed and asked my classmates a lot of questions about physics. I did not feel stressed out at all. At last, I finished my homework by myself for the first time. How excited I was!
Because of studying in groups, I am not worried about physics any more. With my classmates’ help, I get more confidence. It also gives me more chances to improve myself in many ways.

For many years people believed that the cleverest animals after man were chimpanzees. Now, however, there is proof that dolphins may be even cleverer than these big apes.
Although a dolphin lives in the sea, it is not a fish. It is a mammal. It is in many ways, therefore, like a human being(人).
Dolphins have a simple language. They are able to talk to one another. It may be possible for man to learn how to talk to dolphins. But this will not be easy because dolphins can not hear the kind of sounds man can make. If man wants to talk to dolphins, therefore, he will have to make a third language which both he and the dolphins can understand.
Dolphins are also very friendly towards man. They often follow ships. There are many stories of dolphins guiding ships through difficult and dangerous waters. Which animals do people think may be the cleverest?
A.Dolphins | B.Mammals. |
C.Big apes. | D.Chimpanzees. |
Why is a third language necessary if man wants to talk to dolphins?
A.The dolphin language is hard to learn. |
B.Dolphins cannot hear men speaking. |
C.Most men do not speak English. |
D.Men want to talk to dolphins in secret. |
What have scientists discovered about dolphins?
A.Men can now talk to them. |
B.They understand a simple language. |
C.They can teach men their languages |
D.They can speak to one another. |
In what way are dolphins friendly to man?
