As for myself, it isn’t difficult to grow into a responsible member of society. I still remember an accident that takes place on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was on my way to school and was waiting the green light at a crossroad when a girl of about ten was knocked down by a passing car, it drove off quickly. A man immediately rushed to a girl to give her first aid and I joined in without hesitation. Fortunately, she was not badly injured but we sent her to the nearest hospital. Comparing with the escaped driver, I am proud of what I did. As a member of society, I am aware of that being responsible is that it takes to make a better society.

Our government is trying hard to build an energy-saving society. It is somebody’s duty to work hard and reach this goal. Besides, not everybody has realized the important of it. Take our school for example. Sometime we can see that lights and computers are still on after class. Some students even forget to turn on the tap after using it and have water run all the time. Our papers are printed on only one side, which causing much waste. It’s time we did something to avoid this kind of waste. Firstly, make sure that all the light and other electric facilities turned off when we leave the rooms. Try to form the habit of turning off the tap immediate after using it. What’s more, papers should be printed on both sides and reused if possible.

I, together with my two friends, were eating dinner at a Chinese restaurant, locating in the center of New York. I noticed the young woman eating with two kids. We stopped by and I asked the kids if he believed in Santa. The elder boy, whom was about seven years old, pointed his younger sister and said, “She does, but I don’t.” I told them Santa was real and as we were paying for our dinner, I paid for theirs, either. Mr. Wang is my English teacher but I really love his lessons. He loves English so he teaches with great energy.Mr. Wang prepares his lessons very well and use things like PPT and videos to making the subject come alive. Mr. Wang is very strict at us; he works very hard and he requests us do the same. We respect Mr. Wang and do not mind him being strict because we knew he is only trying to help us learn well and speak English fluent. Once Napoleon stayed in a small inn. The next morning he went to thank the innkeeper. “I want to rewarded you,” said Napoleon.

“Stop!” Just then, Napoleon went to the innkeeper, “Now you know the my answer, don’t you?”
