Barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by. She never tried to speak. Many people , but never did one person stop.
The next day I decided to go back to the park, being curious if the little girl would still be there. Right in the very spot as she was yesterday, she sat, with the look on her face.
As I began walking towards her, I could see the back of the little girl's dress which showed a deformity(畸形). As I got closer, the little girl slightly lowered her eyes to my eyes.
I sat down beside her and opened with a simple . The little girl stammered(结结巴巴地说) a hi. I smiled and she shyly smiled back. We talked until darkness fell and the park was completely empty.
"Why are you so sad?"
She replied slowly, "Because I'm ."
"Little girl," I said in a soft voice, "You me of an angel because of your difference."
She stood to her feet excitedly, "Really?"
"Yes, that's the thing. You're like a little angel sent to watch over all those people walking by."
She nodded her head and smiled, " I am. And since you think of someone yourself, my job here is done."
What a big surprise! I asked quickly, "Wait, so why did no one stop to help an angel?"
She bloomed(绽放) a big smile, "You are the one who could see me, because you care for others." With those words, she spread her wings and flew away from my sight.
From then on, I believe I am not all I have, for there is an angel always me. She is always watching over those who do good things for others.

Have you ever asked your relatives or friends if there is Wi-Fi in their houses? Have you ever searched for Wi-Fi when you are at restaurants or hotels? The answers will probably be "Yes". Most of us want Wi-Fi everywhere as if we can't live without it. But we can only use free Wi-Fi in some public places. We still have to spend some money accessing(连接)the Internet at most time. Here comes a piece of good news.
A rich, powerful organization in the USA called the Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) has decided to change the age of online computing (计算) completely by giving free Wi-Fi to every person on Earth. They will send up hundreds of satellites into low Earth orbit(轨道)in 2015.
This is because they have made a survey and found that only 60% of the world's population have been able to get information on the Internet. And this is also because many countries are unable to offer people the necessary infrastructure(基础设施)to access the web.
We can expect to use free Wi-Fi everywhere in the near future.

When I was in the third grade, I was chosen to be the princess in the school play. For weeks my mother had helped me practise my words. But once on the stage, every word __ from my head. Then my teacher asked me to change my role to be a narrator (解说者) for the play. I didn’t tell my mother what had happened that day, she noticed my and asked if I wanted to take a walk in the garden.
It was a lovely spring day. We could see dandelions (蒲公英) coming out the grass in bunches (束). I watched my mother bend down by one of the bunches. “I think I’ll remove all these weeds (野草),” she said. “From now on, we’ll have roses in this garden.”
“But I like dandelions,” I said. “All flowers are — even dandelions!”
My mother looked at me seriously. “Yes, every flower gives pleasure in its own way, doesn’t it?” she asked thoughtfully. I nodded(点头). “And the same as ,” she said.
When I that she had guessed my pain, I started to cry and told her the truth. “But you will be a wonderful narrator,” she said, me of how much I loved to read stories aloud.
Thanks to my mother’s encouragement, I got to know everybody had his or her own in the world. I felt proud of the role in the play.

Is the art of conversation dying? The other day, my wife two teenage children did something we haven't for ages. It didn't require the Internet, a TV screen, batteries or anything else for that matter. But we all it so much we're thinking of doing it again sometime.
We had a conversation. The kind of real, live conversation that was when I was growing up, but which seems all too rare these days. Today we have chat rooms, text messages, e-mails but we seem to be losing the of communicating face-to-face. We all know young people are out on a date(约会)these days, they spend most of that time their mobile phones. And teenagers nowadays seem to communicating with their friends by sending text messages rather than actually to them.
If we carry on like this, in the future, we'll lose the use of our . What do you think? E-mail me, and who knows? Maybe we could even have a real conversation about it!
