Why have you been so successful in reaching some of your goals, but not others? If you aren't sure, you are far from alone in your confusion. It turns out that even brilliant, highly accomplished people are pretty lousy when it comes to understanding why they succeed or fail. The intuitive answer — that you are born predisposed to certain talents and lacking in others — is really just one small piece of the puzzle. In fact, decades of research on achievement suggests that successful people reach their goals not simply because of who they are, but more often because of what they do.
1. Get specific. When you set yourself a goal, try to be as specific as possible. "Lose 5 pounds" is a better goal than "lose some weight," because it gives you a clear idea of what success looks like Also, think about the specific actions that need to be taken to reach your goal.
2.
Given how busy most of us are, and how many goals we are juggling at once, it's not surprising that we routinely miss opportunities to act on a goal because we simply fail to notice them. Did you really have no time to work out today? No chance at any point to return that phone call? Achieving your goal means grabbing hold of these opportunities before they slip through your fingers.
3. Know exactly how far you have left to go.
Achieving any goal also requires honest and regular monitoring of your progress — if not by others, then by you yourself. If you don't know how well you are doing, you can't adjust your behavior or your strategies accordingly.
It is my hope that, after reading about the nine things successful people do differently, you have gained some insight into all the things you have been doing right all along. Remember It's never what you are, but what you do.

When I walked into the house after school, the first thing I noticed was a box with items I recognized from my dad’s office. When he told me that he was laid off, I thought he was joking. guess I had taken his work for granted. For starters, he was home all the time. It me
ant my bed had to be made, my room cleaned up, and my homework done right after school. I would come home every day to find him at the computer searching for jobs.
He seemed, and how losing his job had affected his self-esteem, though he tried to be optimistic. For the first time, I saw my dad as vulnerable. He asked my brother and me to spend less. Day by day, I watched him build it, On evening I asked if he needed help.“Only if it doesn’t interfere with school,” he said.I showed up at his office the next afternoon, and most afternoons after that for two months.
The terrible experience for our family taught me how to deal with difficulties. Now I know that through creative problem-solving, I can always find P

What makes one person more intelligent than another? What makes one person genius, like the brilliant Albert Einstein, and another person a fool? Are people born intelligent or stupid, or is intelligence the result of where and how you live? .
We know, however, that just being born with a good mind is not enough. In some ways, the mind is like a leg or an arm muscle.. Mental exercise is particularly important for young children. Many child psychologists think that parents should play with their children more often and give them problems to think about.
.If, on the other hand, children are left alone a great deal with nothing to do, they are more likely to become dull and unintelligent.
.According to some psychologists, if parents are always telling a child that he or she is a fool or an idiot, then the child is more likely to keep doing silly and foolish things. So it is probably better for parents to say very positive (helpful) things to their children, such as “That was a very clever thing you did.” or “
.”
A.A healthy body contributes to one’s intelligence. |
B.Parents should also be careful with what they say to young children. |
C.What people want express is like this. |
D.The children are then more likely to grow up bright and intelligent. |

F.You are such a smart child.
