I walked into the Huddle House Restaurant in Brunswick, Georgia and sat down at the table. I picked up the menu and was to order something for breakfast.
“Excuse me,”
I looked up and a nice-looking woman standing before me.
“Is your name Roger?” asked.
“Yes,” I answered, feeling rather confused(迷惑) as I had never seen her before.
“My name’s Barbara and my is Tony, “she he said, pointing to a middle-aged man sitting alone at the table by the window. He was and weak.
“Tony White, from Landon School in Jacksonville, Florida.” She added.
I looked at that man for a few seconds, I didn’t recognize(认识) him.
“I’m really sorry. The name doesn’t ring the bell,”I said.
She walked back, began with her husband and once in a while I saw her turn around and look directly at me.
I ordered breakfast and a cup of , sitting there, trying to remember who this Tony was. “I know him,” I thought to myself. “He recognizes me for some reason.” I picked up the coffee cup. All of a sudden it came to me like a flash of lightning.
“Tony, the bully, the bad boy!” I could believe my eyes. “Jesus! He’ s so thin now. Not the big boy that I from back in 1977.”
Everything came up to my mind. The time this boy had made fun of my big ears in front of the girls in my class, and the time this big bully had pushed me against the walls in the hallway just to make himself a big man to all other students.
“I am sorry, Roger,” Tony rolled by me in the wheelchair, being pushed by his wife, raising his thin trembling hand. “I am so sorry for that I did to you.”
“I’m…I’m er…” I didn’t know what to to him.
After a few months later, I received a letter from Barbara. Tony was . Tony had been a fireman and had been seriously wounded in a task.
How I regretted for not saying something to him but I no longer had the chance!

One day, my father and I went to the supermarket to buy some fruit. After I looked and chose for a long time, my father bought me pomegranates(石榴) instead of others. I was surprised and , "Why are you buying such ugly fruit? Why not buy apples or pears? Pomegranates don't look as nice as apples or pears." my father heard my words, he said nothing at all. He smiled and I felt my father was so mysterious(神秘的). Only when I got home did I find out why he did so.
As soon as we got home, he took me into the and quickly cut one of the pomegranates with a knife. "Now I will you its real face!" he said. "Wow!" I shouted. What was inside the fruit was completely from its outside. The pomegranate had small "rooms" inside it Each "room" held lots of seeds. And each seed looked like a beautiful shiny diamond(宝石). "Do you it is beautiful?' My father asked. "That shows you can never judge something simply its outside. You must always its inside, too." I suddenly realized that my father's words were not only about fruit, but also about some people like pomegranates. They perhaps are not beautiful, but they can still have beautiful . We can't judge a person only by his appearance.
