Great Britain consists of four countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. On the 13th century Wales was linked to England. In 1603, they were joined to Scotland. They were united in peace instead of by war. Furthermore, just as they were going to get Ireland connecting to form United Kingdom, the southern part of Ireland was broke away, so only Northern Ireland joined with England.
England is the larger of the four countries and for convenience it was divided into three zone: the South of England, the Midlands and the North. Most of the population are settled in the South, and most of the industrial cities is located in the Midlands and the North.
London is the capital city with the great historical treasures, that has the oldest port built by the Romans in the 1st century AD, the oldest building begun by the Anglo Saxons in the 1060s and oldest castle constructed by later Norman rulers in 1066.

I was angry about the act of dishonesty in the exams． I'm not saying that I'm a goodstudent or I've never cheated. I once wrote the answer in my hand for a history testbut , unlucky, was caught by my teacher．Because she was one of my most favorites,there were no words to describe how sorry．I felt at once．I thought cheat would helpme keep my straight A's．Little did I know that I was hurting not only herself but also myteacher．From this lesson I know teacher want students to succeed by learning on theirown and do the best they can, not by cheating．
As students, we have classes for early morning till late afternoon．Therefore, take a ten-minute break between class is definitely important, even necessary. Otherwise we may feel both physically or mentally tired. During the ten-minute break we did something to get rid of tiredness．What we need is to have real rest, instead of getting even tired．So don't do anything that will make you too excited．My ten-minute break is always pleased．I usually take some exercise．Sometime I have a free chat with my classmates．When the new class begins, I feel freshly again.

Last Monday morning, our English teacher told us to put our writing book on the desk so that he could check them. Honest speaking, I really wondered what would happen that if he found out I did not finish his homework. So I took out my Chinese writing book instead of my English book. My parents and I went to the park on last Sunday. There were lots of visitors stood in front of the ticket window. We waited a long time and buy three tickets. In the Tiger Mountain of the park, I was too eager to see the fierce frightened animals that I quickened my steps through the crowd. Unfortunate, I got separated from my parents. I had hard time looking for him, but I had no luck. Wandering in the park, I felt alone without any companions. Worse still, I had no money, so I had to walk home, covered as much as 5 kilometers.

I have a plenty of plans for the winter vacation. But my friend Wang Lin doesn’t have any. She just stays at home watching TV. “Don’t you look forward reading good books during the vacation?” I ask her this morning. Without taking her eyes on the TV screen, she replied, “No.” I felt very worry when I heard what he said. Though we should relax during the winter vacation, I don’t think it is the good idea to relax through watching TV. Watching TV all the time not only wastes our time but also harm our healthy. I do hope Wang Lin will spend less time during the vacation watch TV.
