In the summer vacation, I paid a visit a mountain village in a suburb of Xi’an. No sooner had I got off the bus when I was greatly surprising to see all the changes. It was far better than I had been expected. Now every family can drink cleanly running water. The villagers needn’t carry water himself any more. Firewood is no longer used for cooking. Marsh gas, a new cheap clean energy, make it very convenient to cook and light. As all the families have color TV set, they can enjoy plays at home. It impressed me most was that the best building in a village was the school. I hope the mountain village will become better and better.

I like music very much, pop songs particularly. Every evening then I am doing homework and at weekends when I at home, I always play some of my favorite songs on my MP3 player. The familiar patterns of notes attracts me into the colourfully world of music. Now and then I stopped to follow the songs. Sometimes, my mother comes in, asking me to pay my attention on my homework. She does not like the pop music. As is know to us all, paper burns easy. Yesterday, Mike, a six-year-old boy, made a paper box and then filled it for water. He then lit a candle and tries to burn the paper box. It is interested to visit another country， but sometimes there are some questions if we don’t know the language very well． It may be difficult to talk about the people
there．We may not know how to use the telephone in the country which are visiting． We may not know what to buy the things we need． In a strange country, we may not know where to eat and what to order in a restaurant． It is not easy to decide how many money to tip（付小费） waiters or taxi drivers． When we were helpless， we may not know how to ask help．After a short time later， however， we learn what to do and what to say and we learn to enjoy life in another country.

As a boy grown up in India，I had longed to traveling abroad. I used to listen to the stories my father told me about her stay in Canada and trips to Europe in1970s. My big moment finally come in the summer of 1998 when I was able to accompany my parents to Europe, where my father was to attend for a meeting. The service during the flight to Frankfurt was such nice that even today I can still remember them. The flight was really smooth and thorough enjoyable，even someone as me, who is otherwise scared of flying.
