John is my best friend. However, he sometime makes me angry. For example, last Monday while we were taking test on history, he threw me a note, hoping that I could give him the answers of the questions on the papers. How could I help my best friend to cheating in a test? It was certainly that I refused his request, that made him quite unhappy at the time. After school, when I was asked him to go home with me, he didn’t look at me and said anything. Then he went away. The next day I had to write him a letter to explain that I didn’t tell him the answers. He makes an apology to me after he realized that he was wrong.

My friend Henry, with him I studied in the same class, didn’t like studying at school. That’s because he couldn’t go to high school. He had to return back to his hometown, where his father wished him to learn to manage our small shop. However, the young man was not interesting in it and didn’t do as his father said. He spends a lot of time reading and learned how to repair cars. Last month, I accepted an e-mail from him inviting me take my vacation in his hometown. I started off. Seeing that he was such successful, I said, “Henry, all road lead to Rome. You are great!”

My swimming experience is extreme interesting. There was a time when I swim like a rock. This went on till one day when I was fishing with a friend of mine at nearby pond. I slipped into one. Had my friend not come to my rescue, I would have been drowned. Ever since then, I had come to know the importance of learning to swim. I didn’t attend at any training class but learned it all by myself. Strange to say, I have no difficult swimming at all now. Though the way I swim look awkward, at least it can keep me from floating. Playing the violin was once one of my dream．Because of lack of practice and playing skills，I did it very bad in the beginning and was often laughing at by other students．Gradually，I lost confidence to myself and wanted to give up．But my teacher told me．“Nothing was easy．Struggle is a vital part of our life．”Heard that，I pushed myself harder and began making a rapid progress．Eventually，I won the first place in a violin competition．
From his experience．I’ve learned a lesson that it is struggle which leads us to success．As long as we don’t give up and learn from our mistakes，we are sure overcome whatever difficulties we’re faced with．
