One year ago, I was in great trouble. I work hard at English and devoted all my spare time to practise it. But I failed to pass the mid-term exam, which made me great disappointed. So I asked my grandpa for advice when I got to home. Hearing that I told him, he said, “To some extent, exam results sometime can’t truly reflect your ability. You can’t judge your progress by one examination.” He encouraged myself to work hard for long time to check my results. I took my grandpa’s advice. Now my English is much better than ago. From my experience, I feel that we should listen to opinion from old people.
A little girl who lived in a simple and poor house on a hill. Usually she might play in the small garden. She could see over the garden fence and across the valley the wonderful house with shining golden window high on another hill. Since she loved her parents and her family, she desired to live in such a house and dream all day about how wonderful and excited it must feel to live there. At the age when she gained some basic skill, she begged her mother to a bike ride outside the garden. Her mother finally allowed her to go. Down the hill and cross the valley, the girl rode to the gate of the golden house. As she got︿ her bike and put it against the gate post, she focused on the house. She was disappointed when she found all the windows were rather dirty.
I went to a group activity, “Sensitivity Sunday”, which was to make us more aware of the problems were faced by disabled people. We were asked to “adopt ﹀disability” for several hours on one Sunday. Some members, as me, chose the wheelchair. Other wore sound-blocking earplugs or blindfolds. Just sitting in the wheelchair is a learning experience. I had never considered before how awkwardly it would be to use one. As soon as I sat down, my weight made the chair begin to roll with its wheels were not locked. Then I wondered how to put my feet. It took me quite a while to get the metal footrest into place. My wheelchair experiment was soon finished. It made a deep expression on me.

Today I was having a PE lesson while I fell down and hurt my foot. I was in greatly pain at that moment, but I tried to act as if nothing has happened until the class was over. Though I had difficulty walk back to my classroom, I still didn’t tell anyone but even refused the offer of help of my classmates. As result, the hurt in my foot become worse. Now I know I was wrong. We can tell others our need for help and accept his help. Some day we can not help others in return. In this way, we can get along to each other happily and peacefully.

Have you ever heard the saying: All work and no play make Jack a dull boy? What this means is that if you study all the times you will become a boring person. You must go out and have a fun with your friends, otherwise you will lose him. No one wants to be friends with someone only talked about work and study.
