On Friday, our teacher told us that there would an English corner in front of our teaching building. I set about soon after the last class in the afternoon.
To my joy, the English corner had just been on for a few minute. I joined them on their talk. At first, I was afraid that my English was so poor and limit that I couldn’t follow them or make myself understand. I was also afraid that anyone might laugh at me. But a smiling face here or an encouraging nod there soon put me at ease. Though I speak to them only in simple English that day, I believe in future I will make a greater progress.

Thank you for hold such a wonderful party for me before the day of your returning to Australia. I really can’t thank you enough for that you’ve done for me during my visit.
I remembered vividly the day I arrive here. I was deeply impressed by your kindness or the beautiful scenery of your city. Everything was more awesome than visiting the splendid Mount Huang on third day. And the memory will surely last a lifetime. I’m also glad to have made many friends here, to whom I hope to see again in the future.
I believe this visit will promote the friendship and understanding between the Australian and Chinese student. Once again , I want to extend my most sincerely gratitude to all of you.

I as well as my parents are going to New York City this month. I had been looking forward to going there for long time. It is one of the beautiful city all over the world. SQ3R stand for five steps in the reading process: Survey, Question, Read, Review and Recite. The first step is survey, which helps you to predict how the author is going to say. The second step is question, which means to form questions basing on your survey. The third step is read and note something down. You’d better take note or underline something importantly while reading. The fourth step is review, which means to go over the text check your understanding and try to answer for all the questions you’ve written down while reading. The fifth step is recite, which means to make the summary of the reading in your own words. You can be sure you have understood the text although you can recite them without referring to the notes.

Dear Headmaster,
I am writing to talk about the canteen of our school. There are only a few stand in the canteen, leading to lots of students have to line up for food. It is waste of time, isn’t it? But at times the food is not fresh and does not taste deliciously. So it’s not surprising that some students chose to go to the street to buy junk food which do harm to their health. A girl called Jennifer left home three days before. She wandered about in the streets, tiring and hungry. She could no longer bear it, but she made up her mind to return home. On her way back to home, she was wondering how her parents would react after the three day of her disappearance. Returned home, she saw note lying on the table in the kitchen room. Her father sat in the sofa. Her mother was so tired that she slept soundly. Instead of waking her, Jennifer lay beside her mother and go to sleep soon.
