| The history of Talk Like a Pirate Day John Baur and Mark Summers started the holiday in 1995. The idea came to them when one of them got hurt (受伤) in a game and cried out “Arrrr!”. An old man went to India．When he got there，he saw a lot of fruit for sale，but much of it was very expensive．Only a big basket of red fruit was cheap．
"How much per kilo？"the old man asked．
"Two rupees（卢比），"the shopkeeper answered．Two rupees in India is almost nothing，so the old man bought a kilogram and started eating them．
