It’s my honor to give a speech here．After-class activities play a important part in our school life．Proper activities help enrich our lives，broaden our horizons or develop our personalities.
Mine own experience can serve as a case in point. When I was in Senior one，I become a member of our drama club，that I used to visit on weekends．Since my participation in various activities organizing by the club，I achieved a lot．

Volunteers Wanted
The Voluntary Service Club of our school will set up on March 25th. Dear Sir，
Thank you for invite me to the summer English course in your school. As for your choice between the two courses, I prefer the four-week course because of this will allow me more time to do some traveling but make a few new friends. Of all the subject I’m learning at school, I like English better. I had been learning English for eleven years but my spoken English remains poorly. So I really hope to take this chance to improve it. If possible, I’d like to stay with a family for a couple of days in order that I can know some customs in England, what I’m particularly interested in. After watch “English TV” last Sunday morning, I phoned to my classmate and told him to go to see a film in the afternoon. Before the film was over, we returned to school to do our lessons. While we are having a rest in the corridor, I saw Mr. Liu, my head teacher. He told me that we had made some progresses in English, but my Chinese lagged behind, especially my Chinese composition. He suggested I must read more and keeping a diary every day. In the evening my father told me that reading newspapers would do me good for improving composition writing. That was really good idea! That they said was quite right, and I should follow their advice.
