It's interesting to have a chance to teach English abroad because you see a completely different education system. I am teaching in Belgium (比利时) this year and I have realized(1) there are some big differences.
For example, in the UK, it is (2) to wear a school uniform. It is nice to wear a school uniform (3) you don't have to think about what to wear in the morning. You just put on your uniform and go. This (4) a lot of time.
Another difference I have noticed is also about clothing: Teachers(5) in a more relaxed way in Belgium. They wear(6) . In my experience in the UK, teachers wear similar things to the people (7) work in an office: shirts and ties for men; dresses, skirts, dark trousers and shirts for women.
As I am working with older students who are aged(8) 16 to 18 , I have also noticed that they have (9) subjects than I did at their age. In the UK, students only choose four subjects (five if they have very good grades) at 16. Some people like this, because it means they do not have to study subjects they don't like.Others feel that students make such a big choice too(10) , because the subjects they choose at 16 will have an influence on what they can study at university.

Susie Sunbeam was not her real name; that was Susan Brown. But every one called her Susie Sunbeam because of her such a sweet, smiling face. (1) .
Her grandfather first gave her this name, and it seemed to fit the little girl so nicely that soon it took the place of her own.
Even when a baby, Susie laughed from morning till night. (2) .
When she had learned to walk, she loved to go about the house and get things for her mother, and in this way save her as many steps as she could. She would sit by her mother's side for an hour at a time, and ask her ever so many questions, or she would take her new book and read.
(3) She never used an unkind word, but tried to do whatever would please her playmates best.
One day, a poor little girl with a very ragged dress was going by and Susie heard some children teasing her and making fun of her. She at once ran out to the gate, and asked the poor little girl to come in. " What are you crying for? "Susie asked. " Because they all laughed at me, "she said
(4) She cheered her up with kind words, and gave her a nice dress and a pair of shoes.
This brought real joy and gladness to the poor child. (5) .
A. That's why we called her Susie Brown.
B. Susie was always pleasant in her play with other children.
C. No one ever heard her cry unless she was sick or hurt.
D. She always brought brightness with her when she came.
E. Susie liked to read books when her mother was busy in doing chores.
F. And she thought that Susie was rightly called Sunbeam.
G. Then Susie took the little girl into the house.
You have(1) (probable) never heard of Amy Hayes, (2) she is a most unusual woman. She never throws away things we(3) (need) any more. And the gate is made(8) rocks and old glass bottles. Amy isn't the only one who is good at(9) (recycle). Jessica Wong uses old clothes to make bags. She(10)_____(do) this for a few years. Her bags are cute and useful.
Robert and Henry were going home from school, when, on turning a corner, Robert(1) out, "A fight! Let us go and see!" "No," said Henry; "Let us go quietly home and avoid this quarrel. We have(2) to do with it, and may get into trouble."
"You are not a brave boy, and afraid to go, "said Robert, and off he ran. Henry went straight home, and in the afternoon went to school, as usual.(3) Robert had told all the boys that Henry was a coward, and they laughed at him a great deal.
A few days(4) , Robert was bathing with some schoolmates and (5) his depth. He struggled and screamed for help, but all in vain. The boy(6) had called Henry a coward, got away from the water as fast as they could, but they did not even try to help him. Robert was fast(7) , when Henry threw off his clothes, and sprang into the water.By great effort, and (8) much danger to himself, he brought Robert to the shore, and thus saved his life.
Robert and his schoolmates were (9) at having called Henry a coward. They admitted that he had more(10) than any of them.
Never be afraid to do good, but always fear to do evil.
