A comprehensive study of 4,500 children conducted by the National Institutes of Health in 2018 shows that children who spent more than seven hours a day staring at screens showed evidence of premature thinning of their brain's cortex the outer layer that processes sensory information. "We don't know if it (1) (cause) by the screen time. We don't know yet if it's a bad thing. It won't be until we follow them over time (2) we will see if there are outcomes that are associated with the differences that we're seeing in this single snapshot," Dr. Gaya Dowling. "What we can say is that this is(3) the brains look like of kids who spend a lot of time on screens. And it's not just one pattern."
The problem isn't just screens (4) , but also the way screens tempt kids (and adults) away from something far more important: physical activity. More than 23 percent of adults and 80 percent of adolescents don't get enough physical activity, and according to a 2019 report from the World Health Organization (WHO), these patterns of activity and rest arise (5) habits we develop early in life. "What we really need to do is (6) (bring) back play for children," says Dr. Juana Willumsen, a WHO specialist in childhood obesity and physical activity, in a statement about new WHO guidelines issued in April 2019. "This is about making the shift from sedentary time to playtime, while (7) (protect) sleep." Of course, children aren't completely to blame for their screen addiction.
Sometimes, the parents (8) complain about the role of screens in family life are just as guilty of spending too much time in front of one. A 2016 study (9) (conduct) by Common Sense Media found that parents spend up to nine hours a day in front of screens, mostly not for work﹣related reasons. While 78 percent of parents said they believed they were good screen time role models, the study found a disconnect between their behavior and their perception of their behavior. Parents need to limit screen time for themselves and especially for their kids(10) it means playing the bad guy. Our mental and physical health depends on it.

How an unbelievable scene ! A modern young couple were eating fruit in public and had thrown a plenty of waste on the ground. When an old cleaner comes to clean up, the man was very angry. He pointed at the cleaner, said in a loud voice," How impolite! They haven't finished eating!" " How could people behave such badly?" I thought. Obvious, in their eyes, they could do all they liked and ignore other's feelings. In my opinion, we should pay attention our behavior, obey public rules and respect other's works. We should know that really civilized people are those who have good manners but a beautiful mind all the time.

Every person has a great deal of love to give. Here is a general guide to loving.
Say it. When you say the words “I Love You”, make sure you really mean it, and are willing to do anything for that special person. If you love someone, you should understand how they feel, where they come from, and who they are. Realize how they could also love you back just as well.
Love unconditionally. Giving unconditional love requires you to love without any expectations. It seems difficult to only love and not demand anything in return in today’s world where everyone is selfish. But even in this world we see many examples of unconditional love, for example the love a mother gives to her child and the love between two life partners. To love unconditionally, you will have to learn to sacrifice(牺牲) yourself and your desires and also realize that someone may have a different way of showing his or her love for you.
Realize it can be lost. If you realize that you can lose the one you love, then you have a greater appreciation of what you have. Don’t make an idol of the person you love. This will place them under unnecessary pressure and will likely result in you losing them.
Never stop loving. Even if you have been hurt before, you should not stop giving love.
A.Try loving just for the sake of love. |
B.Put yourself in someone else’s shoes. |
C.There are many different ways to explain love. |
D.Think how lucky you are to have someone to love. |
E. Do not expect to be loved back in exactly the same way.
F. It does not make you a bad person to desire someone else’s love.
G. There are many different ways to love someone (or even yourself).
