此题要求改正所给短文中的错误。如有错误（每行只有一个错误），如无错误，在答题卡相应的位置上画一个勾（√）；如有错误（每行只有一个错误），则按下列情况改正；
此行多一个词：把多余的词写在答题卡相应的位置上，用斜线（﹨）划掉。
此行缺一个词：在答题卡相应的位置上写出该加的词，并附带前（后）词。
此行错一个词：在答题卡相应的位置上写出该错词和改正后的词。

As is well know, when senior students graduate from school, most of their textbooks are thrown away , that are still in good condition. What waste of it ! I quite agree to the suggestion that we should recycle these textbooks. For one thing, recycling textbooks can save a lot of nature materials, which are used to making textbooks. For other, senior students may have plenty of usefulnotes on the pages. They are very helpful to those textbooks users. However, the cost of the books will unload some burden of the families of the students. Actually in Australia and some other countries, recycling textbooks are popular and that it gives us a good example. Why can’t they have a try?

Do you know how it is that cats eat first and wash their hands and faces afterwards? One day a unlucky mouse was just about to be eaten with a cat. The mouse was quick-minded. He say to the cat, "Don’t you have any manner at all? Everyone knows you should wash your hands and face after you eat." The cat ashamed of this and began to wash. While the cat was washing happy, the mouse ran off, and so the cat lost her meal. Ever since then cats have been eaten first and washed them afterwards.

My brother Tom was very selfish when he was a little boy. He didn't want share things with other people. Mary is a 16-year-old high school student, who devoted herself to her lessons every day. Last Saturday, as usual, she went to several class. In the evening, she continued to study until deeply into night. She was too sleepy and tired that she couldn’t work effectively. On the Sunday morning, she was about to do her lessons while her father came up and advised her to take a break. Soon they came up a good idea. We decided to go cycling in the countryside. Mary had great fun, competing and chatting with her father, and felt relaxing in the open air. On Monday, Mary was energetic but active in class.

If you admitted to an university in China, regardless by whatever you choose as your major, there's one compulsory course that you can not avoid it: English. The fact is what you can probably miss attending English classes when other course are taught, but you'd better take English serious. Failing in the national College English Test, you may not be able to secure you Bachelor's degree, even if you have your own major doing well. Each student learn a foreign language, mostly English, from Day One of their compulsory education. Such policy has been in place since the nation's reform and opening up in the early 1980s.
